01.02.12. Representatives of the Muslim elites to participate in the Global Summit Inauguralnom Salamworld.
13-14 February 2012 in Istanbul (Turkey) in the conference hall of the Ciragan Palace Kempinski Hotel will bring together prominent Muslim scholars, prominent public and political figures and representatives of non-governmental organizations to attend the Global Summit Inauguralnom Salamworld. The Summit will host a press conference attended by leading Islamic media, as well as the performance of well-known artist Sami Yusuf nasheeds, transmits RF Islam .

The purpose of the Global Inauguralnogo Summit, which will be held annually, is the establishment and coordination of the interaction of its members to support the ambitious IT project Salamworld.

Salamworld - a unique project in the field of Information Technology, whose goal is to develop a multilingual and multicultural online platform for promoting the internationalization of the World Islamic heritage. The project is scheduled to start in the month of Ramadan in 2012

Salamworld Inaugural Global Summit which is planned to be held annually aims to establish interaction between Muslim scholars, social leaders, IT specialists and celebrities in order to support this ambitious Islamic IT project. looks like salam world is going to be a massive flop.

they want to create a new social networking site, yet they seem to have no sense of web standards at all. Do they even have any web programmers working for them? do they even know how the internet works?

My proof? thebrochure - its 120 mb in size! thats huge! even a 10 year old kid can tell you that you should compress the pictures in your document before sending off the pdf to reduce the file size.

these people can't even get something as basic as that correct.

Also, the logo seems a bit childish.

full marks for effor though. i wish them all the best, but i dont have high hopes for them.

sad to hear that my sweet brother. For the first time one took some serious steps in uniting Muslim Ummah virtually & instead of supporting it & make them correct you are criticizing.
It's not the way dear. And for your kind information SalamWorld is not just a social networking site. Now, you don't have to check Hotmail/Gmail for mails & facebook/twitter for social networking, not even a google to search anything and YouTube for videos. You will find each & everything @ 1 site.

Make dua from them. Launching this service from the coming month of Ramadhan.
