I think people have wrong impression about this work in KSA. Yes, restriction in a sense not following guidelines set by Akabireen/Shura. Only restrictions in large gathering. Hundreds of Jamaats are going out every week. I do not see any harm discussing common issues within the limit. Just to get a feel of the work being done here. Yes, I do agree we should not go into details. Beauty of this effort is in silent struggle. |

In Makkah and surrounding areas i know the tarteeb is that Indian, pakistanis and bengladeshi brothers get together and do their amal. And the arab brothers do them seperately. They do not mix. So saudi arab brothers do their dawah within their community, and the indo-pak brothers only do the work within their own community. And the reason would be because the nature of work is sensitive there so elders and experienced workers from each community do dawah with wisdom and hikmah according to their community. This is from what i have heard first hand from an active brother in Makkah.

Bismillah Also, can anyone provide a history of why the work of tableegh is not allowed in Saudi? I heard from a brother that in one point in time, the work in Saudi was as strong as the work in Pakistan. Then, the government banned it for political reasons. However, can someone please provide facts & details? Jazakallahu khairan |

Any islamic activity whatsoever was stopped mainly due to this reason. |

If Saudi doesnt do Tabligh work, it doesnt mean that we shouldnt do it. Its the work of the Ummah.
In other Arab countries - this work is done. Sahabas had the opportunity of praying Nafl salah in Makka, Medina and earn more rewards. But they left those things and crossed the border and today I am a Muslim. Who cares if Saudi does or not? Everyone will be accountable for our good and bad deeds in the day of judgement. Dont decide things with respect to Saudi. |
