Default A Tajweed Primer




A Somali hafiz I know has agreed to formally teach me the rules of Tajweed. He suggested we use this book:

هداية المستفيد في احكام التجويد

Could anyone here perhaps tell me more about that book and if it is well-known or not?

But I think it's up to the ustadh and not the student, which book is to be taught. But for self studies (along side the other text) it will be very useful insha'Allah.

Yes it's nice to have something in English too.

I recently bought this series in English too, by Sr. Kareema Czerepinski (foreword by Shaykh Ayman Suwayd - the one with the Tajweed programme on IQRA tv):
