Listen to all of it But if you won't listen to it with an open mind and with focus but with preconceptions then don't bother. It's a very detailed lecture and I'm sure will address many if not all your questions. This is for you especially brother Dawud. I noticed your confusion on this topic through many of your posts.

Im interested to see what sufis have to say but i dont think id ever go for unity because they dont want unity, you cant unite with people who dont want unity with your. From an academic standpoint im still interested to learns ufi proofs and evidences inshAllah

the ahl hadith in bangladesh is virtually non existant, that wikipeadia qoute were it says 27.5 million is completely wrong, people dont even know who the ahl hadith are. the majority dont pray 5 times a day and are very cultural.

They will use all the polymic argument against average farigs who are not trained to counter such form of ism. Their course is geared towards addressing the basics. I will vote for awame league and label them as terrorist sympathiser to disscredit them. This is the trickery I will use just as they use biddah and shirk argument will nilly.

brother i dont like to label whole groups be they sufis, salafis etc. with an accusation. maybe some salafis are like what are you saying, but there is many who are not.

Some movies are made to promote a distorted view of sufism and sufi shaykhs. One such movie is Lalsalu mentioned in the following link.

The movie was based on a real novel which was a mandatory reading in Bangla literature class during my high school life in Bangladesh.After reading that novel , I and many other students were naturally not inclined to meet sufi shaykhs ( Pir ) , because , those Pirs are money-makers !!!
