Default Name A Sahabi (ra) Thread
I want anyone who posts on this thread to name a sahabi(ra) we will Insha'Allah learn a name of a sahabi or sahabiyat(ra) that we never heard of before. Also if you want you can post a short biography of those companions(ra).
want to see how many we name so when you post put a number by the name of the companion(ra) as well please.
Minimum 1 Sahabi(ra) you have to name and maximum 3 in each post you reply on this thread we do not one big post with all the names as this will be too much on mind to remember.
I start of with
1)Hazrat Abu Bakr(ra) He is the first amongst the men to become muslim and one who sacrificed the most for Islam.
After the Prophets he is the best amongst the ummah.

Umar Ibn Al Khattab, one Sahabi who iblis was afraid of (Need we say more)

Abdullah Ibn Al Maktum, a blind sahabi who was close to the prophet, he is referenced in Surah Abasa 9I think its Surah 80). Beautiful Surah, where Allah shows his displeasure at the Prophet for a mere frown..

4) Zayd bin Thabit - One of the top scholars among the Companions, and a leader among the Ansar. He is the one who wrote the Qur'an at the request of Uthman bin Affan. Later, he would become one of the pillars upon which the school of Medina (Maliki) would be built.

(5) Abdullah Ibn Abbas

Abdullah was the son of Abbas, an uncle of the noble Prophet. He was born just three years before the Hijrah. When the Prophet died, Abdullah was thus only thirteen years old. It is said that he committed to memory about one thousand, six hundred and sixty sayings of the Prophet which are recorded and authenticated in the collections of al-Bukhari and Muslim. The Prophet would often draw Abdullah as a child close to him, pat him on the shoulder and pray: "O Lord, make him acquire a deep understanding of the religion of Islam and instruct him in the meaning and interpretation of things." There were many occasions thereafter when the blessed Prophet would repeat this dua or prayer for his cousin and before long Abdullah ibn Abbas realized that his life was to be devoted to the pursuit of learning and knowledge. The Prophet moreover prayed that he be granted not just knowledge and understanding but wisdom.

Hope you don't mind a CP

12) Ammaar bin Yaasir - One of the Companions who was promised Paradise (in a different hadith than the one with the famous 10. This hadith said that the Paradise is yearning for 3 people: Bilal, Ammaar, and Ali). He was killed while fighting with Ali against those who rebelled against him.

Hazrat Hamza (ra) who was so close to Janaabay Paak Muhammad pbuh. He was a fearless warrior who became shaheed and his body dismembered. Our prophet pbuh has never cried as he did at the martyred body of Hamza (ra) and prayed janazah countless times over and over again. His title is Asad-ullah.

I'm emotional just writing this

True Hadrat Aisha was the beloved wife but Hadrat Khadija was also the most beloved because She was the first to believe, she provided him with the much needed support and she was the only one who bore Prophet AS children..

I heard a lecture on incident correct me if i am wrong Rasoolulah always remembered Hazrat Khadijah(ra) with great love and affection after she passed away once he was praising her and remembering her Hazrat Aisha(ra) got jealous and said to the nearest meaning why do you alway remember that old woman.
Rasoolulah got angry and said i will never forget her she supported me when i needed support the most she sacrificed her wealth on me and she was the mother of my children how can i forget her favours on me.
