You should be able to contact mureeds/ khalifa of several Nqashibandi Shaikhs there. Any particular Shaikh?

We're never very keen on sharing stuff with government officials. We're worried they might start taxing us.

I could always ask about the London dargah for mureeds of my Shaykh, I s'pose. Explain that the government is asking...

Yes , the govt wants to tax on the commodity called " Peace of the heart ". Since, abundance zikr brings peace to your heart and then this peachful heart enhances your economic productivity , the govt needs to charge
some tax on this inner peace. Recently, the British govt has successfully tested a peace meter which can measure the degree of peace by sensing the spiritual light emanating from a zakir ( the man who does zikir ).
So, the now govt wants to install those peace meters in zikr-centers where all those Tasawwuf activities are perfomed.

By the way, I have never heard of Nakhsbandi dergah of Shaykh Abdul Baki ( DB) in London. I went many times to London and never met any Turkish mureed of that shaykh. All I know that
there are mureeds of a Manchester based Pakistani nakhsbandi shaykh in London. Besides, in London you can also find many mureeds of a Cyprus based shaykh.

If you are really serious, you should ask your question in the following link where you can meet some genuine Nakhsbandi Mureeds of a great shaykh.

http://forum.sufizikr.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=118

This shaykh is based in Manchester. He has a khanqah in Cryodon , London. Check this website for more info.

There were some miracles about him recently. For more , please see this link.

We're all over the place, we just lie low for tax reasons =) Seriously, my Shaykh is very, very low-profile. People generally find him the old-fashioned way - through word of mouth, decades of seeking, or through a dream. Don't think I've ever met a mureed who "read about him on the internet".

Zakir tax, eh - well, I guess they have to compensate for the zakir's dramatically low contribution to the local GDP somehow - no excessive consumption of any kind. And of course the most advanced zakirs don'T even use electricity - they use their hearts for lighting their way at night =)

:
Its quite surprising as well as frustrating that your shaykh has mureeds from many countries , still he has no website in English.
I mean, in this era of new-age sufism when people get deceived by the fake sufis who maintain attractive websites, the real sufis should be promoted properly to uphold a good image of Sufism.

An website on the net is a good way of of promoting true Sufism. One such website is shown below.

http://www.tasawwuf.org/

Anyway, I would like to visit this Nakhsbandi dergah of your shaykh in London. How can I get the address ?
One more thing , have you read or seen any English biography of the following Nakhsbandi shyakhs ?

Mevlana Halid-i Baghdadi ( RAH )
Mevlana Seyyid Abdullah Hakkari
Seyyid Taha Hakkari
Seyyid Sibgatullah Arvasi
Abdurrahman Tahi
Fethullah Verkanisi
Muhammed Diyaeddin Nurshini
Ahmed Haznevi
Gavs Seyyid Abdulhakim Bilvanisi el-Huseyni

Seyyid Muhammed Rashid el-Huseyni ( DB) who gave khilfat to Hazrat Abdul Baki (DB ) in Menzil.

Ah, that's the challenge

Joking aside, tasawwuf.org is one of my favorite websites and I recommend it on this forum frequently. It is exactly as the website of a Naqshiband Shaykh SHOULD be! I don't know why my own Shaykh has chosen not to have a website, by the way.

The names you mentioned.... My husband has a huge book about them, or rather all the names in the Silsila of our tariqa. Unfortunately it's all in Turkish, and the kind of Turkish that would take me several days to translate a couple of chapters from (learned stuff). I only know anecdotes about them (especially about Gavsi Seyyid Abdulhakim al-Huseyni and Seyyid Muhammed Rashid al-Huseyni). I've scribbled a post-it and stuck it on my monitor; inshaAllah I can ask the sisters on Monday about any English-language version (I know a few who work at the publishing house). I'll also ask them about London contact details for the mureeds there, inshaAllah.

Sis Kayra, I'd be interested too as i'm in London. I'd also like to speak to you via email, is that ok? Do I have to ask a mod? I'm still plodding towards the 200 mark i'm afraid.

Have asked through the appropriate channels for London contact details. The person I asked is very conscientious, mashaAllah, so inshaAllah will be able to post something today, tomorrow at the latest.

JK for your feedback. Would you please give us more info about those brothers ? Are they strict on outward sunnah ? I mean, keeping beard , wearing long dress , turban etc ?

Have you attended their Hadra ? I mean , collective zikir gathering ?
