An interesting quote from Pir Fazal 'Ali Qureshi (may Allah sanctify his secret):

"I am not a student nor a murid of the Deobandis although you are my witness that my aqa'id (beliefs) are the same as the Deobandis. The Ahle Deoband are on the truth. Consider me a Deobandi in this regard." (Deeni Dastarkhwan - Maqamat-e-Fazliyya, vol. 3, p. 314)

No I did not hear about it. Its happening often these days. There are some racist elements. These incidents are spurred on by the action of our own brothers most of the time. There is lack of hikmat in many cases. But the Majority of Bhuddists are lovely people. Good akhlaq, simple life. Insha Allah soon Allah Ta'ala will open the doors of Hidayat for them.

May He use me and you for it as well. Its about time you landed your blessed feet here Hazrat.

I have this book called " Tajalliyat e Quraishi ' a short biography on Hazrat Maulana Fazal Ali Quarishi sahab written by his khalifa Hazrat Maulana Khwaja Abdul Malik Siddiqui sahab

apart from the quote on his aqaid being on par with deoband.. he also had an Ilmi nisbat with Darul uloom deoband..
writes Hazrat Maulana khwaja Abdul Malik Siddiqui sahab (rah) on page no. 8 :

" Regarding Hazrat shaikh's education and ilmi background.. he revealed to me at a general gathering that he studied darsi kutub with Hazrat Maulana Qamar uz-zaman sahab and daura Hadees with Hazrat Maulana Ahmed Ali sahab Saharanpuri.. “

He has sketched a beautiful record of their visit to Darul uloom Deoband and hazrat’s love and affection towards the akabireen of darul uloom.. his interaction with Shaikh ul Islam Hazrat Maulana Syed Hussain Ahmed Madani sahab (rah) .. Hazrat Maulana Qari Muhammed Tayyab sahab Qasmi (rah) .. Mufti Kifayatullah sahab dehlvi (rah).. visit to Mazar e Qasmi graveyard and an ajeeb muraqaba there.. and most importantly his strict adherence to kitab and sunnnah..

Shall write about that sometime later insha Allah.. time for asr here.. so later insha Allah..

Duas..

Is there any English version of the books " Maqamat-e-Fazliya " and " Tajalliyat e Quraish " in English ?

I read a a short English biography of this great man Shaykh Fazle-Ali-Quraishi (DB). And I was so amazed. Just look at this .

-------------------
The spiriutal heat radiating from a Sufi Shaykh can be very powerful. Some examples from a famous Nakhsbandi saint are given below.

Hadrat Khuwaja Muhammad Fazal Ali Qureshi (rahmatullahi alaihi) at Miskeenpur Sharif , Pakistan

Ref. Salaar-e- Naqshbandia Mujaddidia , page 193 -194 , written by HAzrat Asif Hussain Faruqi (DB) as mentioned in the following website.

http://www.beautyofislam.org/

once, the shaykh was travelling by train and a fellow passenger on the train, who was a drunkard, a drug addict and a fornicator who neglected salaah, happened to sit in his company. Before the journey was over, this person had become a dhaakir and was drowned in the rememberence of Allah and ism-e-Dhaat.

The shaykh often mentioned this story and would say, “This is how the dhikr of Allah purifies a person.”

Once the shaykh was riding on a horse. As the horse was walking along, his hoof knocked against someone who was lying on the ground. At this, the shaykh stopped, dismounted and said to the person,” Please forgive me; I am sorry that my horse has hurt you.” The person replied, “No I should be grateful to you, because when the hoof of your horse touched me, my heart began to busy itself in Allahs dhikr. I regard meself very fortunate indeed.”

When the shaykh use to do dhikr in a gathering on hard land that needed ploughing, many large and hard stones would just crumble and become fine earth. Hadhrat shaykh would smile and say, "Allah has saved this old man from ploughing the fields and has made my work easy for me!"

He also said , " Four things elevate a person: First, abundance of dhikr; second, adherence to the sunnah; thirdly, refraining from sins; and fourthly, connection with his shaykh."

Yes and that was the direct quote which I was referring to. I posted it earlier. It settles the issue once and for all. It's like the letter of Haji Imdadullah in support of Mawlana Gangohi in which he says "My ‘aqidah (belief) and Mawlana’s ‘aqidah is one and the same."

It seems like these statements were made by these great awliyah for the purpose of making people of that time and those who will come later aware of the reality so that those who try to discredit them (or some of their khulafah) by distorting history are unable to do so.

An excellent point. These gestures wipe out many unnecessary troubles.

" Tajalliyat e Quraishi " is the 1st part of a 4 series book caled ' Tajalliyat ' . the second part is called " Tajalliyat e Maliki ' Biography of Hazrat Maulana Khwaja Abdul Malik Siddiqui sahab written by his khalifa ; Hazrat Hafiz Abdul Rasheed sahab (rah) Naqshbandi Mujaddidi , the third part seems to be the autobigraphy Of Hazrat Hafiz Abdul Rasheed sahab (rah) and the 4th book is titled as ' Tareeqa Naqshbandiya ' " Tajalliyat ' is complied by Hazrat Hafiz Abdul Rasheed sahab Mujaddidi (rah).

A few incidents from Tajalliyat e Quraishi by Hazrat Khwaja Abdul Malik Siddiqui sahab
pg: 8 -10.

Visit to Deoband -

Once I accompanied him on a visit to Deoband. There were some Punjabi students who taking into account hazrat's libas, formed misgivings and ill thoughts against him.. so under their very misgivings they requested him for a talk after zuhr or asr that he may givem them useful advices..
somehow it was known from the local folks that these misgivings were on hazrat's Ilm..

Hazrat had already walked out into the veranda from the masjid room.. he commenced the lecture.. and spoke on the necessity of Tasfiya Qalb and Tazkiya Nafs..with proof from Qur'an and Hadees.. it was such an overwhelming talk.. that those who bore misgivings could never establish what they ascribed.

The result of the speech was such that many students and elders accepted bayat and the creation of Allah attended in large numbers to gain the faiz.

On the second day hazrat expressed his desire to spend zuhr and qaylulah at the masjid of Darul uloom. The moment he reached there ..without wasting anytime retired to sleep. When students rushed at him with cushions he had already laid down.

The zuhr salah was led by Qari muhammed Tayyab sahab . He wore a cap. After the prayers hazrat qiblah pointed to Qari sahab about the neglect of an afdhal Sunnah.. immediately qari sahab made a gesture and an Amamah was ordered to be kept on the prayer mat henceforth.. so now at every salah whoever would lead had to wear it on .

The very same day after zuhr , Hazrat Shaikhul Islam Maulana Syed Hussain Ahmed Madani sahab arrived at the madrassa masjid to meet hazrat.
I saw maulana walking inside , informed hazrat qiblah of his arrival ( there were also students alongside). Hazrat rose up.. they embraced each other and did musafah .. this was the first meeting between Hazrat Shaikh ul Islam Maulana Syed Hussain Ahmed madani sahab (rah) with hazrat. After they sat down Hazrat Shaikh ul Islam expressed his motive in the following words :

“ Hazrat if I befit your noble sight as a slave of the slaves.. then I put forth an appeal.. but the condition is that it should be sanctioned before even I reveal.. hazrat replied saying you should express it.. how is it possible to grant something which is not conveyed.. Hazrat Shaikh ul Islam (rah) pointed towards me saying that he has sent a message that mentions your plans for departure to Delhi today.. but my appeal is that hazrat should grace darul Uloom for three days.. and until you grant my request I shall sit here .. also know that this is my dars e hadees time.. Hazrat smiled .. said that hazrat you want to carry this burden on my head now.. very well I shall stay.. "

We stayed at Maulana Shabbir Ahmed Usmani sahab’s brother’s residence for three days. The effect of hazrat’s kaifiyat was being rapidly seen on the students due to which the ulema after listening and seeing.. gained more affinity towards hazrat.. praises echoed in deoband that Hazrat Maulana Qasim Thani has arrived in deoband today. Alhamdulillah. The effect was really marvelous.

A zikr halqa was established at the Masjid of Maulana Shabbir Ahmed Usmani sahab (rah) . the students were charged with motivation. None amongst the Ulema ever objected but their regard for hazrat ever increased.

contd from Tajalliyat e Quraishi..
pg 10 - 11.

At Mazaar e Qasmi -

While at our stay we paid a visit to the graveyard, at the Mazaar of Hazrat Maulana Muhammed Qasim sahab.. Mufti Aziz ur Rahman sahab and Shaikh ul Hind sahab ( rahmatullahi Ajmaen) with a group and engaged ourselves in Muraqaba. The muraqaba seemed to lengthen against his usual norm. after it ended., he turned towards me and said if he could reveal some ahwal..
I replied hazrat this is a jamaat of Ulema and there is no harm in doing so..

He said that today I witnessed an incident during Muraqaba.. .. There was a lush green meadow where the Muhadditheen Deoband .. Delhi and Gangoh were present. And now hazrat shaikh went into details saying that Hazrat Shah Waliullah sahab Dehlvi, Hazrat Shah Abdul Aziz sahab Dehlvi, Hazrat Shah Rafi ud-din Sahab, Mufti Aziz ur-Rahman sahab, Shaikh ul Hind Hazrat Maulana Mahmood ul Hassan sahab, Hazrat Maulana Anwar Shah kashmiri sahab (Rahmatullahi ajmaen)…etc were all present.. all of them had gathered awaiting the arrival of Hazrat Rasoolullah . Ultimately Hazrat Rasoolullah arrived.. and all these people did musafah.. and Rasoolullah (saw) accepted their Musafah.. even I had the honour to do musafah..
After the Musafa Hazrat Rasoolullah (saw) expressed his pleasure saying " ye log meri sunnat ke zinda karne wale Muhi us-sunnat hai "
( These are the people who revived my sunnah- vivifers of sunnah )

I said (Khwaja Abdul malik sahab rah.) Hazrat some people have misgivings about them.. to which he replied " Chamkadar sifat ka koee ilaaj nahin " ( theres no cure for people who behave like bats ) .

This incident reached the ears of Hazrat Shaikh ul Islam sahab through some ulema. Hazrat Shaikhul Islam (rah) was immensely overjoyed saying that we received glad tidings from the shaikh of our times in this world itself, that our akabireen are maqbool in the durbar e Risalat salallahu alaihi wa sallam . Alhamdulillah. Summa Alhamdulillah.

Hazrat Maulana Qari Muhammed Tayyab sahab (rah) invited us for lunch once and hazrat accepted it.. after which Qari sahab (rah) was so elated that on return he arranged the footwear of hazrat which he put on.
