I would like to know that what is the stance of Deobandi scholars about the writings of Hakeem Mahmood Abbasi ? Has someone refuted him ? I think someone from Nadwaa refuted his "Khilaafat e Ma'viyaah wa Yazeed". |

![]() ![]() who was yazid and what should our opinion be of him. was he responsible for the death of hazrat hussain (ra) or it is all shia lies Answer Bismillah Al-jawab billahi at-taufeeq (the answer with Allah's guidance) Firstly, Yazid (Radhiallaahu Anhu) was the son of Hadhrat Mu’aawiyah (Radhiallaahu Anhu). Secondly, death of Hussain (ra) has not been decisively established that Yazid himself killed or ordered the unfortunate killing of Husain (ra). There are some reports that he expressed his remorse on the actions of his associates, and even if he did, then murder and other sins do not necessitate Kufr. Imam al-Ghazali (Allah have mercy on him) states that it is even impermissible to say that Yazid killed or ordered the killing of Sayyiduna Husain (ra) let alone curse him, as attributing a Muslim to a sin without decisive evidence is not permissible. (See: Sharh Bad al-Amali by Mulla Ali al-Qari, P. 123-125). One should not curse Yazid, as the Shia curses. Rasullulah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa salam) has said, ""Whosoever impersonates a nation (other than Islam) will be (resurrected) from them on the day of judgment". (Sunan Abu Dawud) Therefore, It must be remarked here that this is not an issue on which one’s Iman depends, as there is no reward in cursing him, nor will one be asked on the day of Judgement as to what opinion one held about Yazid and his actions. This is a trivial matter, thus many scholars have advised to abstain from indulging and discussing the issue and concentrate on the more immediate and important aspects of Deen. May Allah Almighty give us the true understanding of Deen, Ameen. And Only Allah Ta'ala Knows Best. -------------------------------------- Moulana Qamruz Zaman London, UK Source ![]() |

yes yazid did not kill Imam Hussain, shimr and Ibne ziyad did it, he was only the khalifa at that time he was out shopping that day, and no he did not loot madina, kill the sahaba, or rape muslim women, He was playing county cricket in England at that time....Its strange how the fatwa rqnsst quoted says there is no point discussing yazid and puts radiAllahanhu with the paleed's name..

As for killing al-Husein ibn 'Ali may Allah be pleased with them, he was the Caliph of the time so he takes responsibility for it, sending Ibn Ziyad was a very bad idea since he was known to be a fearsome and violent man with no mercy at all. Vast majority of Ahlul-Sunnah and Jumhour of 'Ulema consider Yazid to be a very bad man, unworthy of Caliphate at the time, the difference is on whether he was a Kafir or not and whether he should be cursed after his death. I heard I think in a lecture by Allamah Zaahir Mahmood that the killers oh Husayn RadiAllahu-anh all suffered humiliation and disgrace in this world and died humiliating deaths. Allah knows best.
What was done to Ibn Ziyad when it was found out that he martyred them R.A. What was yazids course of action after that, What did he do to those people from his side who commited this act? anyone with any info on that? |

I was specifically asking about Yazid, because as some posts suggest he was a lover of ahle Bait and was not involved in the martyerdom, then when he foound out about this, what did he do, as any sane just ruler would do justice with the Maloons who martyered them R.A. So what did Yazid do to them? Allah however did make Qasas on both Ibn Ziyad and Yazid and the rest of the killers, Ibn Ziad was killed and decapitated in a war by Ibrahim bin al-Ashtar who sent his head to al-Mukhtar in 67 Hijri on the tenth of Muharram, a snake started playing with his fallen head, al-Mukhtar then sent his head to 'Abdullah ibn al-Zubair (raa) who later sent it to 'Ali bin al-Husein (raa). As for Yazid who was hanging on to his position as Caliph, he remained for four years and the people (Sahaba and Tabi'een) kept rebelling against him especially in Madinah so he wasn't even even able to rule in these short four years. |

A report says Yazid cursed 'Ubeidullah ibn Ziyad when he was informed of his crime, other than this I have no idea if he made Qasas or not. http://www.madania.org/index.php?opt...ions&Itemid=52 When thirst brought Husain to the bank of the Euphrates River and he was raising the water to his lips, the accursed Husain bin Numair shot an arrow that struck him on his lips. The first words to leave his lips were, “Oh Allah! It is only to you that I complain of whatever is happening to the grandson of the Blessed Prophet r. Oh Allah! Destroy them one by one, cut them to pieces, and do not leave any of them behind in this world." Imam Zuhri rahmatullahi alayh says, "Of the men involved in the murder of Husain , none of them died until they tasted the retribution of their actions. Some were killed, others their face blackened or distorted, or their kingdom was usurped. Of course, this is only a small price to be paid for their hatred of a wali of Allah and to forewarn others of the dangers of hurting the Auliya-Allah, otherwise the punishment of the Akhirah is unimaginable.” Since the martyrdom of Husain, Yazid did not get one day of relief in his kingdom. Uprisings and rebellions sprouted everywhere and the cry for revenge for Husain t’s martyrdom echoed throughout the empire. Yazid lived only 2 years and 8 months (3 years and 8 months according to some other narrations) after the martyrdom of Husain. The rest of his life was spent in ignominy and he also died in ignominy. |

In this book by hadhrat Ismail Memon, there is a whole section on how Allah dealt with the killers of Husain: |

As-salamu ´alaykum,
Wow, Qamruz Zaman's statements were of the ugliest nature. Yazidi attitude is as filthy as Rafd. It's funny how Yazidis love to quote only what suits them in regards to Imam al-Ghazali, as he has said things that seems to contradict those very statements elsewhere. Anyways, why should one follow Imam al-Ghazali in his mistake in regards to Yazid and the killing of Sayyidina Imam al-Husayn (radiya'Allahu ´anhu), but not in music, the beard or other things. But as it is known that Imam al-Ghazali's field of specialization was not that of Hadith, it could easily be extended to say that he was probably not in the best position to research and grade the different narrations proving Yazid's crimes. And no, murder, drinking and the rest of his crimes does not necessitate Kufr, but the narrations proving his Kufri statements are numerous, and many are authentic. But of course the Yazidis will weaken them based on narrators supposedly being "Shi´i" or some other fairytales, while making every excuse for the worst low life Nasibis that have ever lived. In addition, it is well established that Yazid ordered the ransack of Madina al-Munawwara, which led to the murder of thousands of Sahaba and Tabi´een, and in their wives and daughters being raped. And the attack on Makkah al-Mukarrama resulted in the Ka´bah being burned down and destroyed. But this they try to blame on Abdullah bin Zubayr who was defending Makkah. Everything to protect their spiritual and ideological ancestor Yazid. And to claim that cursing Yazid is impersonating the Shi´a and therefore falls under the mentioned Hadith of Rasulu'Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa aalihi wa sallam) "Whoever impersonates a nation will be from them on the Day of Judgement" is intellectual terrorism, trying to bully people into the ranks of Yazid. May Allah reward Sayyidina Al-Husayn, his followers and their supporters. |
