Jannah and the condition of Jannah vastly differs from the conditions of the Dunya. It is incorrect to look at the prevailing conditions of the Dunya and then form an analogy of the Aakhira.

Suffice to say that Allah Ta'ala mentions in the Qur'aan, ?You will have there (Aakhira) all that you could wish for, and you will have there everything you demand.? Thus, her every desire and wish will be fulfilled and she will live in eternal happiness.

The prime concern for Muslims is not what rewards one will receive in Jannah, but it is the very entrance into Jannah. The rewards in Jannah are secondary.

It is Allah who decides what is fair, he does not. As Allah is the Most Just, He will give the females adequate reward. How do you know if a woman gets only one husband yet a man gets many wives, the quality of that one husband will not be greater than all the wives/houris combined?

Also, houris aren't the only reward there, neither are they the greatest reward. Perhaps the females are given a greater amount of a different reward, one which we may not even be able to imagine

Tell your friend not to worry about houris but about getting into jannah in the first place. Encourage him to take shahadah!

Kufar have pitched every kind of line in order to get Muslims to do and say things that suit their ulterior motives.

True submission to Allah requires that one actually knows who Allah (SWT) is.

First, a person who doesnt know who Allah is not likely to convert, since Islam is about submission to and worship of Allah.

Second, Jannah is for those who have gained Allah's Mercy and Forgivness at the very least, and gained his Pleasure at the very best. Its about the relationship of the individual with Allah.

Third, Islam is completely in harmony and synchroncity with human nature, including human biology. Allah addresses the nature of men and the nature of women according to each gender's specific needs and design.

Men are different from women. Men compliment women, but they are not identical to women. And vice versa. It is against the nature of both to presume that men and women are identical and should be treated identically.

Fourth, this convert should be encouraged to convert by him coming to understand and know and love Allah and the Prophet (saaw), not discussing intricate details of the Ghayb/Akhira. Quite frankly, it may take years for this guy to deconstruct the manmade ideology which he apparently submits to; and to construct Islam in its place.

It's mentioned in a Sahih Hadith (forgot the reference) which states that men will get 72 virgins in heaven after achieving something (if I remember correctly)

(1) Houris are beautiful females.
(2) They are more beautiful than any worldly woman we see.
(3) We can not imagine their beauty in this world. If one starts describing the available details (through Holy Qur'an and authentic Prophetic Traditions) then very soon people start giggling.
(4) In Jannah there will be male helpers.
(5) After entering Jannah the women who have spent time in this world will be much more beautiful than the Houris.
(6) In this world man spend more mental time in thinking about woman as compared to woman's time spent on thinking about man. A woman might not think at all about man other than her husband.
(7) Above point will be difficult to corroborate in western society where not only divine norms but even the natural norms have been thoroughly mutilated.
(8) Before the pious enter Jannah they will be thoroughly cleansed of any residual dirt in their hearts.
(9) As a result no woman will have bad thoughts in her mind and no man will have bad thoughts in his mind.
It will be Salam and Salam only. No useless talk will be heard.
(10) Woman do not desire multiple man in this world (please, please leave the deviants out of my way and your way too) and they will not desire 72 male Houris (a misnomer) in Jannah. And this is not the only place where they differ from man. They like other things, as a brother has pointed out earlier. Problem is created by those people who are bent on proving that woman can do whatever man can do.
(11) Woman are not obsessed with multiple man (please leave the deviations out again) and the man who is worried about woman not getting 72 should be asked to move on-if he can.
(12) West have mutilated badly even their favourite religion, Christianity, and to expect a better understanding of Islam is not a wise expectation in the present time. Lots of work has to be done before the things change for good. In particular people like ftannous will do well by not taking western standards as suitable for measuring Islam.
(13) Dar-ul-Uloom Deoband has issued a Fatawa about terrorism. It is against all kind of terrorism. It includes western terrorism. It should be taken seriously. Particularly those who try to combine judgement on terrorism with judgement on morality expounded by Islam should be requested to de-link the two. (Of course it will be futile to spent time with a person bent on enmity.)
(14) Ultimately you are responsible for your actions and that is what you should be more worried about. If you say that I did not follow Islam because the people in my colony thought of Islam as the terrorist ideology then you'd be asked whether you thought of it as the terrorist ideology. If you say yes then Deoband Fatwa will be brought to you. If you say no then you'll be asked as to why you did not leave that neighbourhood that did not allow you to practice Islam.

everyone will get what they want in jannah... after all its heaven. i'm sure you can have 72 damsels to serve you if you really want it, though i doubt that. woman generally just want pretty handbags and lots of chocolates...

as per understanding (ofcourse need scholars confirmation) is that if pairs reach in jannah,they will be together and her wife will the queen of the hoors (maiden that he gets) & also 70,000 time more beautiful than hoors (heard in Maulana tariq jameel lectures),And if the wife enters hell,the man will get hoors & the women whose males are in hell will be married to him as just like Aasiya (razi) wife of firoun (pharoah) will be married to our beloved prophet
