I too read how the scientists were baffled when they found out some neutrinos travelled faster than light. lol. Why don't they understand its not possible to 'figure out' how Allah created the Universe. They expect everything to abide by the laws of physics, laws laid out by man. Its silly. When will they realize that Allah is the Almighty and He is capable of everything.

Well the intellect of Imam Abu Hanifa could be better than that of Albert Einstein. But just look at the outcome. Allah blessed the Imams works to become a guide to be closer to Allah for billions of people, and on the other hand Einstein's works will probably completely disproved in a few decades with practically much less impact on peoples lives.

Certainly guidance comes only from Allah .

The results were double checked a few times, and the scientists involved basically announced it to get the experiments repeated at two other labs.

Sometimes I just don't understand what's the big deal about Einstein, especially in the US. He tried his whole life to disprove Schrodinger equation to no avail. He was a genius granted, but there were also other people who were as smart or even smarter than him in modern physics, like Richard Feynman for example, and a few others.

But all in all, our knowledge of this universe is just a drop in an ocean.

To my physics teacher in 10th standard who was a Muslim and it was the first time when we were introduced to the real physics.

Before starting any theory he would say, "Everything is in God's Hand, these are only derived by people according to their understanding, there are many instances that things have happened contrary to the theories". So when ever some one starts explaining me theories, that sentence still moves around in mind.

Faster than light is nothing new. It was already known that in a special medium light or any other electromagnetic wave can travel faster.

That's wrong. Least to say, we Muslims have given:

1. Da'wah
2. Justice
3. Morals & Aklahq & Adab
4. Jurisprudence

Scientific progress isn't everything. There are infinitely more important issues that science. After all, Allah created non believers for the construction of this world. They are fulfilling their duties. Having said this it doesn't mean we should neglect science. So, please don't humiliate entire Ummah for something they were not textually required to do, and for something they already paid the price for.

The proper question is: What did you [and I] offer humanity during your [and my] lifetime?
