*sigh*
Why must we go through this every single time? I don't know what those people are doing and I can't comment on it. What I do know is that they have these 'copies' of the Kaaba for practicing the rites before Haajis actually go for Hajj (and they have someone learned in fiqh accompanying them to point out mistakes, so they don't do them in their actual Hajj). They have one in Iran (I think) and one in Indonesia as well. Any way, my intent wasn't to mock anyone. I'm merely asking what people think of the King's name being written on the Kiswa'. I mean, I grew up thinking that all of them were verses of the Qur'an. |

I think the point is that if, for example, Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani had donated to a masjid and they had put up a sign in the mihrab saying "this mihrab is a gift to such-and-such masjid by Shaykh abdul qadir jilani", the salafis would have a field day shouting about how "bidati sufis" pray to the name of their shaykh or some other nonsense. These are also the same salafis who object to hanging up the glorious name of Muhammad in houses and masajid because it's "bida" and can lead to "shirk". But when it's their beloved criminals from the house of Saud, they will come up with 1,000 excuses. |

astaghfirullah! imagine so many millions of people making tawaaf of the kabah As for putting the King's name on the Kiswa', I see it as putting a 'trademark' on it. People put their names on their 'gifts' so that the person on the receiving end of it remembers who it is by. So either the King thinks that he will not get his thawab' until he makes sure he has his name written on the gift, or he is putting it there for someone else to see. Some 'Khadim al Haramain' he is. |

Maybe you can tell us what's going on in the video then? Because I honestly don't know. What it seems like is that they've made a replica of a Ka'aba, which could be for training (and a training session is not going on at the time the video was made) or it could be in memory of the real Ka'aba, pretty much how people have wall hangings of the Ka'aba's door in their houses, etc. Could not you come with something more funny? |

Puhleeze! Your naivety and lack of knowledge is your own problem. Laugh all you want at yourself. 1. People in Iran made a fake Kaaba' to "practice" Hajj. 2.Accidentally , when that video was made , the practice session was not going on. 3. And you expect people to accept this ****? |
