Salams
Does anyone know anything about this group? are they following deobandi or barelwi schools? Their sufi videos are widely distributed on the net, with some very powerful tawajjuh going on. They seem to be all following the Naqshbandi way, amamah and sunnah beards. Before anyone goes off on one about weird and crazy movements in their videos please note that is not the subject for discussion. I would like to know more about the group. Some pakistani brothers must know.... |

As for as i know Shaikh saifur rahman mubarak(founder of SAIFI branch of Mujaddadi tariqa) migrated from Afghanistan about two to three decades ago and settled in Khyber agency,(Bara,Khajoori area),where he became very popular and influential.Their Tariqa is genuine Naqshbandi mujaddadi, and pir Mubarak was a properly "Ejazat yafta" shakh. His tawajjhu was extra ordinarily strong, and he was known for this quality long before all these videos appeared on internet. They were neither barelvi nor deobandi,as is usual in Afghanistan, but the rather unusual response of his mureedin to him was similar to barelvi,s.
After few years a strong reaction developed against him, mainly instigated by a Mufti(who,s name i don,t remember now) through the use of his private radio station. The Mufti called himself deobandi but Allah knows best. This gradually evolved into bloody clashes between Pir,s supporters and Mufti,s supporters, dozens of people were killed, heavy weapons were openly used, and ultimately both the pir saab and mufti saab had to leave khyber agency, but only after giving birth to a fitna,in which a shadowy character by the name of " Mangal Bagh" took control of the movement started by Mufti,This Mangal Bagh is a brutal murderer, who has killed hundreds of people since then in the name of tauheed, finally a military operation had to be launched against him,and is now hiding in an unknown place in terah area of khyber agency. The Pir,on the other hand migrated to Lahore, well received by his followers, made many khulufa, some of whom are now passing currents to people. The Pir sahib himself passed away almost an year ago. |

Salam
It seems this tawajuh of Pir Saifu Rahmaan Mubarak is very very strong as most people in these gatherings can barely control it. I have seen Ya Rasoolullah on their website, however there doesnt seen any mention of Ahmed Rida Khan. Most barelvis would put Ahmed Rida's name everywhere. Allah knows best |

Do you know if this was the same pir who made takfir of those involved in Tabligh? |

No brother,i am not sure of that, but his opponent MANGAL BAGH used to send his captives (for lesser degree of crimes) free,if they made a pledge they will spend 4 months with tableeghi jamaat. alaka da mangal bagh dair kha khalaq day, mangal bagh manhaj sahi dai, aur da pir bidati dai.....Mangal Bagh's aims and goals were all alighn with Shariah, and his methodology for implementing it was the only way out in the wildwild west of Khyber. |

salam u alaikum, Actually the tribal areas of a Pakistan have become a' "Puzzle". No clear opinion can be given about any one.Every one is a mix of right and wrong, good and bad.No one knows what is 'jehad' and what is 'Fasad'; No one can clearly say who is Shaheed and who is Maqtool .Things have become so confused that the only safe route seems to be "Hosh dar dam" and " Nazar ba qadam" |

....does anyone know how many Naqshbandi offshoots are there in the world....DR bilal Phillips mocks the naqshbandis in a video....turns out they are the naqshbandi haqqanis...then we have naqshbandi mujaddadi and now saifi....are there any others??..... The silsila of Saifi,s is also traced back to one of the Sons of Mujaddad Alfe thani ra. So basically they are all Naqshbandi Mujaddadi. |
