Assalam-Alaikum: All success comes from Allah. Masha-Allah, so many signatures have been collected in such a short period of time. However, Brother, I also wanted to suggest maybe some other things, as time here seems to be of essence. As the time gets nearer to the deadline, you or other brothers and sisters involved in the effort (to acquire signatures for Brother Babar Ahmad's case) might find that the numbers of signatures you are collecting will become difficult in nature to collect further because of the volume of people affirming that they have already signed the e-petition. Therefore, my suggestion is to see also if you can conduct a radiothon or a telethon via a local medium. That way, you will be able to cast a wider net and reach a bigger audience than presently possibly with utilization of any suggestions I had earlier made or others have made. I do not know if anyone in the community has the networking connection or other appropriate resources to enable you and others working on this project to accomplish this task, but surely, Brother, this will be worth a try Insha-Allah.  Surely, Brother, all involved in this project must work for the noble goal as if all depends on human effort, and it does; but surely everyone must trust and know that all anyone seeks depends on Allah, and it does. And Allah knows best. If I have said anything that is good and true, it is from Allah; and anything other than that is my own mistake. |

Assalaamu alaikum,
You may already be doing this so appologies if so. We are starting to go door to door in muslim areas to encourage people to sign the Babar Ahmad petition. The sisters are supporting us by setting up the email accounts of the signatures we get. See video, takes less than a min and it's legal (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tqo-i..._order&list=UL) this can be done from the comfort of their homes. As this is a mainly Deobandi forum this should be right up your streets (literally!) as many of you perform the Gasht etc, and probably have address cards etc. It's simple, get a few of your friends/saathis together, print off the petition sheets and hit the streets one by one until the deadline. Please ask people to tick the box to allow somone to make an email account for them as this is essential for the e petition. I'm sure in the sight of Allah SWT this will be just as if not much more rewarding than your usual 2 +1/2 hrs. |

, I humbly propose the administrators to put a banner in the frontpage of the forum to this thread or directly to the petition or explanation page (just like for example the IA forum has done) in order to utilise the traffic generated by this forum. Insha'Allah we can thus finish the petition. |

ALHAMDULILLAH! We have reached our target. When I started this thread I did not think we would e Abel to reach our target. But Allah facilitated.
Insha'Allah through this petition they will discuss in parliament whether or not e should be extradited to the US. Let's make dua that they release our brother and all Innocent Muslim prisoners. |

Or running campaigns for our brothers and sisters who are suffering. For example the case of Babar Ahmad, and Aafia Siddique. --- In the name of Allāh, the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy. As-salāmu 'alaikum wa rahmatullāhi wa barakātuh. I pray you are well and in strength of īmān, may Allāh preserve you upon the Sunnah. As for Babar, then this man is an extremist deviant innovator who should not be aided. As for the other person, then I do not know her. Was-salāmu 'alaikum wa rahmatullāhi wa barakātuh. |
