 How to seize the moment?
Asalam Alykum WrWb
I am sure everyone goes through highs and lows and ups and downs in their emaan. There are times when our emaan is high and we feel really close to Allah SWT, sometimes for months and years without thinking that its the tawfiq given to us so we can worship.. And sometimes in just few weeks we are in a state where we struggle to keep up with basic farayadh. So how does one seize the moment when our emaan is high? What things can one do to please Allah SWT so he SWT continues blessing us with tawfiq to worship him.. Wa alykum Asalam WrWb |

 Pray Salah. Verily that is the cleansing agent of the rust of the heart. Also brother I would advise making qurans for poor muslim countries who can't afford to get Qurans. This give you thawaab e Jariya.

When a person is on a high he should thank ALLAH for the blessings and realize it is not his own worth but rather ALLAH's kindness upon him. Just pray that like oh ALLAH you gave me taufiq of zikr today whilst I'm weak and I don't deserve it but you were kind to me....or that you gave me taufiq of ishraaq etc. Also at such times seize the moment and actually ACT on the buzz. i.e. Make sure it's not just a feeling but translate it into action as well. Remember the path is always about slipping up and getting up until we die.

Shaykh Yunus Patel  has a excellent booklet on his website on this phenomenon which is normal,namely qabz and bast. Its a nice little booklet which explains the phenomenon in a very beautiful,concise manner. The phenomenon does not only effect people in tasawwuf but people in other efforts of deen and Muslims in general.Thorougly recommend people reading the pdf. |

Asalam Alykum WrWb Hadrath replied, "Congratulations, my dear previously you were fulfilling your mamoulaats due to vigour and now it is emaan which is in action" (Not the exact malfooz. Heard it from one of the bayaans of Haji Shakeel Ahmad) Being constant in your mamoulaat during qabdz (feeling low) is in indeed a sign of strengthening Imaan. Also, heard from Haji Shakeel Ahmad (D.B) that Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani (R.A) was constantly under qadbz for 18 years but he didn't let go on any of his mamoulaats. We all know what Status Allah swt has bestowed him |
