Default Junaid Jamshed Singing - Now What would you people say?
Assalam-O-Alaikum!

Well, I don't want to spread any hatred but I am just curious to know that would you people support him for singing. As, you people are against Sami yusuf!
Infact, Sami's didn't sing a song.

People is "against" Sami Yusuf because he uses MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS, which are Haram; singing is usually fine - although I would see problems in the women shouting in the video.

Singing (without musical instruments) is fine.

Music (i.e. using musical instruments) is haram.

I think brother Junaid Jamshed was wrong in doing what he did. This gathering involved free mixing, screaming girls/women, and complete lack of any Islamic guidelines and rules. He should not have attended this event when he was here in Toronto.

The issue is not with the singing itself, though, because singing songs without musical instrument and when the song is not about something immoral or against Islam, it is fine. But singing this song to such an audience was not a good thing, either.

It is irrelevant if he is from TJ. I'm also TJ and pro-TJ but I'm against what he did. He is not an 'alim so we should not be putting him under a microscope either. Barelvis do this often where they attack brother Junaid Jamshed even though he is not an 'alim. He is an inspiration for us to leave un-Islamic lifestyles but we'll be fooling ourselves if we emulate him in everything.

errm why do we need to see what tj's say? thats irrevelent. it does'nt mean that if a tj does something wrong, all the tj's are responsibe for it or that they need to give answers for it.

Sister, every human being is in need of guidance. If you just come to tj and tell people not to do wrong things.. he doesnt become god father at an instant..

Junaid Jamshed joined tj, went for four months..left beard.. again trimmed it.. did stage shows.. people within tj were very angry with him..but elders knew that guidance is from Allah .. so they prayed for him and he then left it completely...

see i am worried about the baby boomers...they are the most confused kids in todays world. if u go around and teach those kids and next day u are in the mids of the mix gathering... so how can these kids justify the teachings of tj.

what do you think sister ?

and this should be a lesson to everyone who think that brother junaid is the poster boy for tj ... guess what
he's not and never was. TJ doesnot need poster boys and to this day the bulk of the work and most sacrifices
are done by nobodys.

and i can go on about how damaging and dangerous is this "hunt" for other people mistakes but why even bother.

As a kaffara, JJ must be sent for another 4 months.

To begin with he has been a big time singer. He has made his journey to TJ. If you listen to his story you'll realize that he is making a journey to align himself more and more with Islam. I suppose we can not ask for more.
