displaying good akhlaaq is just about the only practical form of da'wah one can give or at least the most effective. whenever my father see's a poorish looking person in the shop he always goes foward and pays for what they purchase. alhamdulillah this simple habit alone has brought and attracted many non-muslims to islaam.
Mashallah, Thats quite a wonderful and easy approach ..

wrwb, I'd definitely love to be proselytized, will make my work really easier

To be proselytized means to be converted. What do you want to be converted to Hadhrat?

If
only Akhlaaq is the solution, then Our prophet has the best of Akhlaq , but still many Kuffars doesn't accept Islam. We have many things to work. Akhlaq plays the crucial role {as what sister mmb4 has said). May Allah Subhanahu wata'la give me first taufeeq to do dawah among Muslim as well as non muslims through every role.
Aameen

True, Good Akhlaaq work/attracts more. I feel sad when I see scholars fighting each other and throw away spells of Munafiq, Kazaab without any fear. What good will you expect from others?

I'm still amazed observing the depth of the effort of Tabligh. The common achievement from this effort is good Akhlaq. And it brings a plenty of non muslims to Islam. Argumentative people don't try to realize it. They consider the way of Zakir Naik et al. as the only method of Dawah. I wish if they would read "Hayatus Sahabah"!

Salam Alaykum.

In reality the best method of Da'wah is Jihad, and one can see the fruits it reaped throughout the centuries. And it is very difficult for us to see how masses of people come to Islam if the ease for them to transition into a Muslim lifestyle is not there. That is, the 'reality on the ground' is highly anti-Islamic, and it takes total conviction for any person to go against this 'reality on the ground' and the entire setup of the world. It is like asking the soldier in wartime to conduct an operation that will certainly kill him: He has to love the cause he is fighting for so much that he will accept it.

wrwb, sorry hadrath, I understood the term wrongly, i thought getting proselytized meant for ex. a christian giving daawah to me to convert to christianity, so there...

p.s: pls don't call me hadrath, 'coz it is usually addressed to the the ulema or pious people and I'm none of them.

again, I would hate to get proselytized

p.s: you once quoted hadrath shaykh qari amir ul hasan saheb hardoi in your posts somewhere, you know him?

Fairy well. I keep writing about him at the first blog in my signature. Though I do not have his bayans but there are people around who have. He is amongst the senior most Masha-ikh in our country but he is bayt to my Shaikh(DB). Because of this he does not speak for more than few minutes here. I used to think that it is habit not to give bayans but only later came to know that he keeps a low profile here. Now his health issues have become very severe. In last a'etikaaf in Melwisharam he slipped in bathroom and sprained his backbone and the problem has not been overcome completely. Before Ramadan the heat of North India took a heavy toll on his state. Now most of the time khuddam have the problem of guarding him from the people eager people to meet him. So to say now he is fast becoming a visible blessing as compared to an interacting blessing. Earlier when he'll come here then you could go with him to the park for a morning walk, there would be bayan after Asr in the Mosque, another bayan in after Asr majlis, some chat on tea for some people and finally personal meetings were also possible. So, yes, it has been a great blessing.

wrwb, Hadrath, if you are bayt to qari saheb's shaykh, then you must be something else altogether. Forgive me for calling you brother all this time, please replace it with 'Hadrath'

No brother I am not bayt to Qari Sahab(DB). My Shaikh(DB) is Qari Sahab(DB)'s present Shaikh. He is younger to Qari Sahab(DB) and himself refers to Qari Sahab(DB) with quite fondness and honour.
And I am not a Hadhrat (brother Fahad's love, of course, is a treasure to cherish-jut like yours) - I am very scared of such responsibilities!
