A'ishah رضّى الله عنها narrated that:
كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم إذا كان رمضان قام و نام فإذا دخل العشر شد المئزر و اجتنب النساء و اغتسل بين الأذانين و جعل العشاء سحورا "During Ramadan, Allaah’s Messenger صلى الله عليه و سلم would arise (for prayer) and (then) sleep. However when the last ten days came, he would tighten his clothe, avoid relations with his women, perform ghusl between the adhans (of Maghrib and Isha) and have dinner at Sahoor."
