A little information about Shaikh first, then the karguzari: Shaykh Ahmad Arshad was born and raised in Pakistan and traveled to the United States for his undergraduate studies. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from New York University. During his studies, Shaykh Ahmad first met Hazrat Shaykh Zulfiqar Ahmad in New York and for over a decade has been blessed to spend extended time with his Shaykh, including accompanying him on many of his travels. As a result of this deep relationship, Shaykh Ahmad was formally authorized in the science of Islamic spirituality (Tasawwuf) by Shaykh Zulfiqar in 2005. Shaykh Ahmad remains in close contact with Shaykh Zulfiqar and, under his guidance, conducts lectures and programs to assist seekers on the path of purification in the New York City area as well as across the United States. Shaykh Ahmad's weekly gathering is held on the mornings of Mondays and Thursdays via teleconference at 5:00am EST, New York Time. He also conducts regular phone classes and specializes in working with high school and college youth. I've asked for Hazrat's permission to post the karguzari here. |

Hazrat Shaikh (DB) arrived in Madinah today morning at around 3am. Masha'Allah Hazrat is one of the few people I really respect from the depth of my hearts. I have met Hazrat previously on his previous trips but the meeting today was something else. My brother, my friend and I went to meet Shaikh after Jumuah at his hotel. We were walking towards his hotel when we spotted him in the courtyard of Masjid e Nabawi. Hazrat Masha'Allah is so tall that you can locate him in a crowd of million people. Specially since he's dressed up in white and white Imama . You feel so embarrassed to walk with him. He's so tall you look like a dwarf in front of him. Hazrat took us to his room despite being very tired. He cleaned the room and called us in. We started talking on different things. Today Hazrat explained some things with which I was very impressed:
During our conversation, we started discussing Salafis then it turned to muslimmatters. I told Hazrat, there was an article about polygamy on muslim matters which i tried to answer on forums etc. He said, "Is it Sunniforum?" I said, "yes, you know it?" He asked me, "What's your name there" I said, "Taliban." He said, "You are TALIBAN!!!!, yes I read you. So you had the conversation about Ta'addud with Mufti Ebrahim Desai sahib" He also said that Other Khulafah also read the Forum regularly I requested Hazrat to please give us some of his precious time and post on the forum to guide us with his expertise. Insha'Allah I hope he will consider it. |

A very humble person. I was very happy to have spent half an hour with him. The thing that impressed me the most is the zeal they have for Deen . I've seen it in very few people. They arrived at 3am, didn't rest properly and his wife(who I have mentioned previously on the womens' Islah thread) was preparing to give Darse Quran live on Skype for 3 hours. I highly recommend Sisters looking for guidance to contact her. Introduction of his wife: Ustadha Humera Ahmad has been a devout student of sacred knowledge from traditional scholars and mashaikh for over a decade. In addition to completing the Aalimah course, she also holds Masters in Economics, Islamic Studies and Arabic. Ustadha Humera Ahmad also travels extensively around the world including North America in an effort to induce a positive Islamic change in the lives of Muslim women. Alhamdulillah, her non-political and non-sectarian spiritual lectures and seminars have attracted thousands of students and have helped them grow in their deen and becoming closer to Allah [SWT]. She is the principal of Zainab Center in New York and conducts classes on Quranic Tajweed, Quranic Tafseer, Hadith, Fiqh (Jurisprudence), Arabic grammar and conjugation as well as Islamic conduct and mannerism. These classes are offered to women, girls and kids and are conducted in English and Urdu via free conference call services. Introductions taken from: http://zainabcenter.org/content/ |

No brother that is someone entirely different. Shaykh Ahmad Arshad (DB) resides in Brooklyn, NY while i believe Mufti Kamaluddin Saheb is pursuing graduate studies in the UK. @Maulana Taliban Saheb how lucky you are to have spent time in the company of Hazrat.... also I didnt mean to be pushy in the other thread but indeed you should meet Hazrat Zulfiqar (DB) and if you do please dont forget to post the karguzari here. =) |

My friend asked Shaikh, How did you meet Shaikh Zulfiqar Ahmed(DB)? He said, That's a good question, How did I meet him? We were a group of students in NYU, me, Mufti Kamaluddin and others. My father was a bureaucrat. But we were not liberal nor very conservative, just normal. I used to hear things like this Shaikh is making bayans here and there, etc. Once my father called me and said A buzurg is coming near New York for Bayan, please go there. I went there. I was sitting at the place when mureeds started entering. I saw them all in white. White kurtas and white turbans. I just kept on looking. In the end Hazrat entered and I saw him and my eyes were fixed on him. It was love at first sight. I didn't know anything about peeri mureedi, tasawwuf, khanqahs nothing at all. There and then, I just decided I have to be like him! And the rest is history. Shaikh is a khalifah now and doing alot of service of Deen masha'Allah.... |

Whats chamchay mean? Difficult to explain to those who are on the opposite end of the art of psycho-fancy (the Afghans). Dear Taliban is using the word for servants of the People of Allah, Elders, Shuyookh. Physically a chmcha is a big chammach=spoon. There pictures by Taliban and Colonel here on SF. Mentally a chamcha is a person who tries to get his work done by sweet talking and buttering a figure in power. Wassalam |
