Default A lesson for all sunniforum Members! Please Watch it.

Watch, contemplate and we should change ourselves. Especially meant for the 'debating' going on in the forums.
It made me realize how ultra Egoistic I am. Initially when I started watching this video I was thinking about others Ego instead of mine. Only to realize, that thought itself is wrong, I should be starting with myself first.

Ustaadh Nouman 'Ali is very approachable. I saw him once, but in shyness did not do Salaam to him, to my surprise he made Salam to me.

We are living in Imaam al-Ghazzaali's time, in the sense, we debate to fulfill our ego's not debate for right reasons.

what is brother nouman's background, i.e is he salafi? i presume having studied in pakistan he does taqleed although the lack of topi suggests salafi leanings?

there is a reason i ask this question which will become apparent on the answer i get to the question above...

I think he is salafi but not sure. I just drew that conclusion from the fact he doesn't wear a topi.

Don't worry about it. He doesn't do Fiqh duroos, na'am?

Why do we have no Deobandi scholars giving excellent talks like this? Or did I miss them?

if the brother doesn't do taqleed then isn't that also about ego with the exception of a few individuals who had the credentials to start their own madhabs?

i know it's digressing from the topic and the work of the brother is to be commended, but it's just an observation IF the brother is salafi/la-madhabi.

Brother Nouman Ali Khan is not Salafi. I have seen a lot of his lectures, not even a single salafi statement. He is Hanafi i think. I think i heard him mention in another lecture somewhere.

I have not seen him discussing controversial topics unnecessarily, He usually discuss the basic important essentials of Deen. The main advantage is he knows how youth thinks, Hence his talks hits the right spot.

Everyone should watch his video on hypocrisy. It will make us freeze and think.

May Allah bless you every time a brother/sister presses on the play button (replay button) ^^, barakAllahu fik for sharing.
Ameen.

So what if he is a Salafi or a Deobandi or a Barelwi or Maaliki?

Take the benefits from him and get along with him, past our differences. Have a heart like Shaykh Hasan 'Ali - who is a deobandi.

i heard some tablighi bayans directed towards old worker sathis about ego and arrogance which were similar but Alhamdulillah this Nouman Ali Khan speech was very good

Azhar can't you give me someone more conservative? I still have not done the hypocrisy video and now this. Seeing the people going into rapture (no pun intended) I suppose I have to do this one first.
Wassalam
