i wanted to ask what do you guys say after your fard prayers for each prayer of the day (if you say different things. e.g. after duhr you may recite different ayat(s) than to fajr)

so far i recite 33X Subhanallah, Alhamdulillah, and Allahu akbar.

I normally do the 33x SubhanAllah etc,. after Jamaat Salah, Ayat al-Kursi after each Salah whether at home or Mosque, Allahumma Ajirni Minan Naar 7x after Fajr and `Asr/Maghrib [not sure which Salah should I read after - Asr or Maghrib], and Hasbnullaahu wa ni`mal wakeel 7x after Fajr and `Asr/Maghrib.

Fajar - 1 ayatul kursi , 33 SubhanAllah , 33 Alhamdulillah , 34 Allah Hu Akbar , 35 Tauz ( Auzubillah ... ) , 35 Ya Qabizu , 35 Rab be zid ni ilma , 35 astaghfar , 35 Sukar Allah , 35 kalma tayyaba , 1 surah fajar & 100 Huwal hayul qayyum.

Zohar - Same as above , 1 Surah fateh , 100 huwal aliyul azeem

Asar - Same as above , 1 Surah Naba , 100 huwal rehman ur raheem

Maghrib - Same as above , 1 Surah Waqia , 100 huwal ghafoor ur raheem

Isha - Same as above , 21 khalaqa hu faqad darah sum mas sabeela yas sarah , 7 kalma tamjeed , 3 surah fateha , 1 surah yaseen , surah dukhan , 1 surah surah rehman , 1 surah taghaban , 1 surah mulk , 1 durood e taj , 1 durood e tanjina , 3 ayatul kursi , 100 huwal latif ul khabeer

everyone does quite a bit after fardh.

I read 'Ya Qawiyyu' 11 times
then
I read 10 each of , and

then make whatever du'aa I want, usually masnoon or Qur'aani ones.

My answer: I do it regularly especially on Jummah since the Imaam reads it loud so I can hear his sweet voice and hear the du`aas clearly...

When I pray Alone i do the following Duas:

-Protection from Shirk


He said, "Say "Allahumma inni a`udhu bika an ushrika bika wa ana a`lamu wa astaghfiruka lima la a`lamu"
[O Allah I seek refuge in You from knowingly associating partners with You, and I seek Your forgiveness for that which I do not know].


-Protection from 8 problems:

Transliteration: Allahumma inni auzhubika minal Hammi wal hazan, wal ajzi wal kasal, wal bukhli wal jubn, wa Dhala'idayni wa Ghalabathi rrijaal.
Meaning:'O Allaah, I take refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, weakness and laziness, miserliness and cowardice, the burden of debts and from being over powered by men.'




-Dua for stress

'Yaa Hayyu yaa Qayyoom bi rahmatika astagheeth'
(O Ever Living. O Sustainer, by Your mercy I seek help)"


-Dua for Patience



-Dua to become a Martyr

Allahumma inni as'alukashahada

-Dua to go to Heaven and protection from Hell

Whoever asks Allah for Paradise three times [Allahumma inni as'aluk al-Jannah], then Paradise will say: "O Allah! Enter him into Paradise!" And whoever seeks protection with Allah from the Fire three times [Allahumma ajirni min al-naar], the Fire will say: "O Allah! Protect him from the Fire!""

-Dua for protection from debt

Allahummakfeeni Bi Halaalika anHaramika, wa aghnini bi-fadlika amman siwaka
“Oh Allah! Make what is lawful enough for me against what is unlawful and make me rich with Your Bounty.”

-Dua for good manners



Edit: Its very difficult for me to byheart anything. What I do is write any new Dua in a piece of paper or store them in my computer. I recite them every morning and evening. Within a few days,(upto 2 weeks for long duas) you will be able to byheart them InshAllah.

@ brother azhar- Don't worry, it's not a spelling mistake. If the line is above the tashdeed then it is a fathaa, however if it is under the tashdeed then it is a kasra. Check the 'noon' in 'inni'.

I didnt know that. No wonder I saw lot of spelling mistakes out there! I I didnt know about this rule.

3 x bismillahillazi la yadurru ma ismihi shayun filardi walaa fissamaa
1 x allahumma bika asbahna wabika amsaina wa bika nahyaa wa bika namootu wa ilaikannushoor

That is the way I memorised Yaseen Shareef, by reading it everyday.

However if you want Allah Ta'aala to strengthen your memory, then after every fardh salaah, put your right hand on your forehead and recite 'Ya Qawwiyu' 11 times. that should have some effect.
