Nearly everyday Syrians are getting killed by the shiite alawite regime.

Already thousands of have been forced out of their homes.

I have a close friend who studied fiqh in Syria, and I asked him if the regime targets the Ahlus Sunnah there [Before this uprising, how the shiite alawite thugs arrest and torture innocent people, much like they do in Iran]. He said yes. I can't imagine all the tragedy that has taken place.

It reminds me of the Gaza Massacre of 2008-2009. There are hundreds of peaceful protesters being shot and killed and others declaring Shahada as they take their last breathes and shouting Allahuekbar.

But do you feel there is a sense of urgency about this catastrophic situation?

i just hope it doesn't get to much attention , because then we'll have the enemies of islam coming to invade that land also.
Like in the beginning all the muslims of benghazi were so happy that shaytaan is coming to help them, they were waving the satanic flags . I'm sure all of them are crying now , as every day hunderds Libyans are getting killed.

But there is no doubt that the shiite regime in syira wants to eliminate Ahlus Sunnah and they have tried before. and the shiites are rooting for the regime to eliminate them.

Even so called Islamist Party AKP has been lenient against al assad, only calling for reforms. but even like israel, the regime in syria has already tortured and killed children [snipering them from rooftops]... I just don't feel like there is any urgency to stop this.

I don't think Syria gets much media coverage.

The syrian regime supported by the 'Islamic' republic of Iran is the most ruthless govrnment. Also, they have allowed the 12er shia missionaries from Iran to spread their teachings in Syria.

The shias (from all over the world) visit the Ummayad Mosque, Graveyards etc to curse the Sahaba (ra).

I can say only that from a Middle European perspective it hardly gets any attention, in my opinion. Every day there are reports of dozens of people killed and a few analyses of the political situation, that's that. Politicians here and in the US seem very afraid to touch the subject because a. I guess they prefer "the devil they know to the devil they don't know" ie possible threats to the security of Israel after an regime change and implications on the whole Middle East political system and b. fear of "radical" Muslims taking over, a big fear because they think it will be like the Taliban. The EU did impose some useless sanctions, a military attack like in Lybia is ruled out.
