Assalam-O-Alikum !
I have a Shia friend to whom I met in flying club. We use to discuss lot many things over Islam. I know they use to offer 5 prayers but by combining Zohar with Asar & Maghrib with Isha. One day he talked to me about Mutta. I said I have never heard about this thing before. I asked him what is it? He replied, bla bla & all this .... . I said that's not the right thing. He said that this thing is in Islam. I searched for it & found that I had been banned by Islam. Well, as usual he don't belive over me. One day I asked him, why do you people don't respect Companions of Holy Prophet Muhamamd (PBUH) even Bibi Aisha (RA) except Hazrat Ali (RA) & his descendants? he talked to me about some wars like Bassorah – Siffin – Nahrawan. Are these wars true? I am sorry if I had asked something wrong. |

Assalam-O-Alikum ! You can read about it in this book, http://d1.islamhouse.com/data/en/ih_...ed_Caliphs.pdf Read the part of Ali(ra). If you have lots of time then listen to the Lecture by Kemal el Mekki called 'Fitna'(its bit long, but worth it). Initially i was devastated when i heard about this battles (lots of false shia material in the web) but My doubts about these battles were cleared when i listened to that lecture. |

Assalam-O-Alikum ! Yes, those wars did occur but the shia have totally changed the story and extremly exaggerated about these wars. The shia consider Kaafir all those who fought against Ali (ra) including the mother of believers Aisha (ra). The fact is that both sides were Muslims and both sides were Companions. However, those who fought Ali (ra) were WRONG and MISTAKEN but it doesn't take them out of Islam. Follow what brother 'Azhar123' has to told you. Inshallah, it will clear your doubts. Hope it helps, Inshallah |
