Shaykh fusoos: Dream interpretation....

Salam

so i recently told a brother i know quite well that i would see if i could get a reliable alim skilled in dream interpretation to interpret a dream he forwarded me. he first asked me if i could tell him what it meant and of course i was in no position to do so.

I immediately thought that i will get the folks at askimam.org to look into it, but to my regret it turns out, they don't accept dream interpretation requests...

it is very, very important that this dream be interpreted as it is quite important for this individual's life. it concerns a very important area of life. is there anyone on this forum that is skilled in this.....shaykh fusoos are you able to do this? mufti abu hajira? um hasan?

also i don't think it wise to post the dream on the forum so i don't intend to post it here... especially since i don't have the individual's permission to share it with anyone.

Yes, Hazrat Mawlana Yunus Patel Sahib (db) is an 'Alim and Shaykh of high caliber. You can find his biography on that very website. Hazrat (db) is also a good person to contact for dream interpretation.

Moulana Yunus Patel saheb is very reliable http://discussworldissues.com/forums...nnah_smile.gif Both in his knowledge and taqwa, as well as reliance in replying in 3 days or less. http://discussworldissues.com/forums...ilies/mash.gif May Allah Ta'aala continue blessing him. Ameen

Perhaps we can use better terms while referring to Ulema that too when the word Maulana is visible in the reference link. I believe, since SF members with number of posts in their credit are invariably well exposed to Islamic etiquettee, should be more careful. The slip off may be unintentional, however due respect should be given to an Alim. It's perhaps not very difficult to assess his calibre if anyone listens to any of Maulana Yunus Patel's (DB) Bayaans.

My apology for uninteded offence.

"A fellow in the broadest sense is someone who is an equal or a comrade. The term fellow is also used to describe a person, particularly by those in the upper social classes. It is most often used in an academic context: a fellow is often part of an elite group of learned people who work together as peers in the pursuit of knowledge or practice."

I don't think the word "fellow" was insulting... and in the academic sense, an alim is indeed a fellow!

yes i probably could have used better terminology.

My apology for uninteded offence. none taken.

OK brother, leave all these plagiaristic jargon aside. How many times you have come across a person referring his father or a respectable person to someone as 'this fellow'? Say I introduce my father to someone as 'this fellow', do you think my father will construed that I am bestowing a great honour on him? Isn't it generally used for a close associate (informal), a peer or just referring to a commom man excepting in pure academic sense when reference is made to ones formally conferred title such as "Fellow of.."? In fact sometimes it is also used for a person of a lower social class like for Dalits in India.

bros drop the subject. i've admited that i should have used a more respectable title like maulana saheb etc. though i knew absolutely nothing about the individual at the time but followed a link from a sufi website. also no i did not intentionally try to name him in a dishonourable way, but yeah it's easy to see how it could have been percieved that way. regardless i was in the wrong, now worry about more useful things.

on a side note maulana saheb responded alhmdulillah.
