What enables a person to predict the future?

I have watcheded one of his videos (Jerusalem in the Quran) and in it he said that the punishment for adultery is the same as that for fornication between unmarried people (100 lashes) instead of stoning. Is that a correct statement? The reason I bring it up is that was contrary to my understanding of Islam and it made me question whether I should listen to him.

I wouldn't imagine that, adultry while you married is stoning till death but you need witnesses and if you see the rules where a testimony from the witnesses to be accepted almost everyone would be rejected same as fornication you would need witnesses as well,But that doesn't mean you won't get your punishment on judgement day if allah swt doesn't forgive you...But to say they are the same punishment is doubtfull according to my knowledge and allah knows best.

An astrologer predicts the future.
An intellect studies, analysis and evalute the future scenario that might occur based on situations and events
and as I can see from the video, he's evaluating the future scenario ...

with all due respect he never evaluates i.e explains WHY he thinks such and such an event will take place. I've yet seen him provide an evaluation of past and current trends to make his claims.

it's always "take it or leave it".....

so i don't buy a lot of his stuff. i guess to the mind that's obsessed with far fetched conspiracies and espionage he appeals. to the more discerning mind, it's stuff you take with a pinch of salt.

I think he has the best concept/theories about what is happening in the world today.
Listen to his talks on Gog and Magog and Dajjal.
Very interesting.

it's interesting but against the traditional viewpoints. to think there is no scholar of repute past or present who endorses his views says a lot. In fact no body who questions what he says "understands" anything which says a lot about his attitude towards academic discourse as well.

his stuff on gogg magogg and dajjal in all honesty is all gobbledygook. he's bashed square pegs into round holes on that one without a clear reference from Quraan and Hadeeth. he's used vague terms and interpreted them according to his understanding. Even I can do that.

Oh brother, more conspiracy theorists.
What I dont get about the conspiracy trheorists is that when Mubarek and Ali and Ghadafi and Abdullah And Asaad are in power - the conspiracy theorists say they are proped up by the US. Then when they get removed from power by the people - they say its the US who removed them from power secretly. So no matter what happens - even if it negativley effects the US - its alaways the US and Israel who is behind it. Its as if the US and Yahoodis cant make any mistakes and perfectley execute every diabolical plan they conceive - its almost border-line Shirk, because they give the US/Yahud/illuminati/masons attributes which belong to only Allah.

Not necessarily and that is a very simplistic way of looking at things. The Quran is testimony to the scheming of the enemies of Allah, is it not? Ergo The Quran is testimony to conspiracy, no?

Yeah your right it might be a simplistic way of looking at it - last month if you asked a group of conspiracy inclined Muslims to give their opinions on the rulers of the Muslim world, they would say they are all propped up by the US. And you may have heard them hope for the people of these regions to rise up against the oppression of of these US backed dictators. Then this month, the people rise up and are trying to get rid of their US backed oppressors - and instead of hoping for a sharia system outcome - the conspiracy theorist Muslims yet again blame the uprisings on the Us/Yahudi

When will the Muslims stop blaming everyone else for their problems? When will the Muslim world realize that the reason why we have tyrants and kaffirs rule over us is because we as a whole have rebelled against Allah - when will people like Imran Hussien stop spouting off about zionist plots and US trickery - and start telling the Muslims who listen to them that the reason why they are ruled by Kafirs is because they continue to act like kafirs.

When I drive down the road and get a flat tire - I do not harp on the nail that punctured my tire - I do not sit on the ground next to my incapacitated car and curse the construction workers who left the nail. I focus my energy on fixing the tire and getting back on the road. The Ummah is similar to this person sitting on the ground complaining about the nail and who left it there - rather than fixing ourselves, obeying Allah and His Holy Nabi - we gripe and moan about the kaffirs and their evils - all the while trying our best to be just like them.

Who cares if the Israel is behind these uprisings - Glenn Beck says its socialists who conspired and plotted to bring down the mid-east in order to bring down America - hes got just as much solid evidence of this theory as any Muslims has that its Israel or the US is behind it - And all the while we sit around a point fingers at our favorite bad guys (Muslims favorite bad guy is the jew, Americas favorite bad guy is the commies) we all ignore the real power behind everything - ALLAH - and how do we earn the pleasure of Allah? is it by sitting on the ground next to the deflated tire we call this Ummah and complaining about the evil nail we call the west? or do we get up, fix the Ummah and keep moving towards our destination -ALLAHU - These conspiracies and blame games and winning sessions are only delaying us and distracting all of us from our true goal - SHUT UP AND GET TO WORK.

If he said this, then this is kufr. It is agreed upon and a fundamental of belief that stoning is a punishment prescribed in Islam. Anyone who denies that, is a kaafir. See Ikfar al-Mulhidin by Allama Anwar Shah Kashmiri.

Can you bring the exact quote from the video?

Assalamu Alaikum

I already mentioned in another thread that I heard the shaykh say that according to his theory, when Esa Alayhis Salam returns to the world he will come with holes in his hands showing where he was nailed to the cross.

I had replied last night, but it seems that it was blocked due to links in the post.

I am sorry that I can't provide the exact quote as I gave the DVD to a more learned brother for him to evaluate. In the DVD he clearly and emphatically said the punishment was the same and it disagreed with my understanding.

However, I had sent this message to another brother for his perspective: "I watched the DVD Jerusalem in the Quran and at 1:11:47 I was surprised that Imran Hosein said that the punishment of 100 lashes in Surah 24:2 applies to both adultery (married) and to fornication (unmarried). He said that Prophet Muhammad (sal alahu alayhi wa salam) did not differentiate between the 2 illegal relations.

I did a hadith search and Bukhari 82.106 references the stoning of a man who had confessed to adultery in which the man was asked if he was married. This implied to me that the punishment was different between fornication and adultery. Also Bukhari 78.629 an adulteress was stoned but the laborer who had relations with her was only lashed implying that he was unmarried.

Is the first instance a deviant ruling? The reason I ask is that I am still trying to decide if I should accept what this person says or writes as being correct.

The Sheikh is contactable via email.
I have emailed him a number of times and questioned or asked for clarification on certain things he has said and he has always replied on the same day.

In regards to should you accept what he says .. nothing is fact it is all theory but let me tell you this I haven't heard a better theory about Dajjal/Gog Magog than Imran Hossein's explanation.

There is a possibility he has made a mistake regarding the lashings etc if this is the case someone should bring it to his attention and see what his response is.

Have you heard his theory about the following hadith;

“Narrated al-Nawwas ibn Sam'an: ….We said: Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him), how long will he stay on Earth? He said: For forty days, one day like a year, one day like a month, one day like a week, and the rest of the days will be like your days….”(Sahih, Muslim; Sunan, Tirmidh)

If not please listen to the dajjal lectures and give me your thoughts or if anyone is aware of anyone else's explanation on this I would like to know.

EXACTLY!!!

They attribute some kind of omnipotence to USA and Zionists, and everything that seems to go against their interests is explained by them in such a way to show that "USA and Zionists themselves are behind it".

For these lunatic people, USA and Zionists are - in fact - infallible and nothing against their interest can ever happen.

You'll also notice that they don't have any kind of positive proposal about "what to do": their only activity is - as our brother al-Faruqi said in another thread - spread impotency and pessimism amongst the Muslims, finding out crazy way of explaining what doesn't need any explaination.

You'll also notice that most of these conspiracy theorists are very stupid people, lacking not only of intelligence and analysis skills, but even of basic historical and political understanding, and unable to formulate a thought in an organized, logic way.

Read Quran before comment out. The punishment already described in Quran the 100 lashes to female and male zaani no mention about stoning.
