Asalaamu alaikum. I know I'm starting a few thread right now. I apologise if they seem like they're cluttering the page. It's not my intent. I'm just feeling a bit hyper and I have a lot of questions because I've been reading a lot on revert pages today...
First- I keep hearing that the Submission website is a bad website because they lie about the Quran. Can someone explain this? Second- I have friends who are both Sunni and Shia. Sunni ways seem to click really well for me. I reverted in a Sunni masjid and a male friend of mine is the one who introduced me to Islam at all and helped me revert (he's sunni). But I also have friends who are Shia. One guy actively tries to convince me to go to Shia sites and read more about Shiism and I don't really understand Shia Muslims so much. Especially when they talk about the "7" pillars of Islam. :-/ I thought there were only 5... Can someone explain to me the basics of those things? Thank you so much for spending the time if you do and I totally understand if you don't have time to explain if there's a lot to it. |

Wa Alaykum Assalam,
Ask as many as you want, I have no complaints. Submission site's believe in a fake messenger called rashad khalifa. This is disbelief in Islam as the Qur'aan and Hadeeth clearly mention there will be no Prophets or Messengers after Muhammad [pbuh]. Moreover they pick and choose which Hadeeth to follow or believe in. There can be good Shia people and bad but their beliefs are really gross and misinterpret Islam a lot. There are some shias who are very extreme whilst some who are not that extreme but nonetheless their belief is deviant. I have a long 1 hour or so video for you to see both of these people's beliefs and stuff..if you want to see. I would like to make a point here, not all shias are considered as non-Muslim because it varies from person to person. Cannot put a label of 'Non-Muslim' on a whole group. |

Salam Aleykum,
Muslims have always followed the holy Book (Quran) and the Authentic traditions (Sunnah) of the Prophet PBUH, thus the average Muslim classifies himself as "Sunni". "Sunni" Muslims or mainstream Muslims are the majority since ancient times forming around 87% of the Muslim population and the rest is divided amongst the deviant sects like Yazidiyah, Duruze, Twelver Shia, Zaidi Shia, Ismaili Shia, Khawarij Abadiyyah, Ahmaddiyah, Mu'atazilah ect... all of these deviant sects form about 13% with the Twelver Shia being the biggest amongst them and the strongest as they are politically backed by some countries. Recently Twelver Shia have been very active in pumping money and creating websites and blogs in order to try and convert the average Muslim into their sect (Especially on facebook)... anyway without taking too long if you have any specific questions we are always here to help and Inchallah we'll provide proper Islamic answers based on the Quran and the authentic Hadiths to your questions. |
