Default Reading arabic question
so im trying to learn to read arabic fluently inshallah
but i get confused when ending ayats and stoppng during them when you see the small letters above the sentence...if you know what i mean ?
e.g. http://www.qurantransliteration.org/quran/002/c2.htm - if you go to ayat 13, second line there is a little Qaf. sometimes there is a saad or a geem etc
i want to know how to stop or to know when to stop...do i join the last few letters (like at the end of an ayat) or do i say all the letters and then stop, then carry on.
because when i listen to reciters (i have this app on my phone) they sometimes join the last few letters and stop...or say it normally and stop. they seem to mix it up (when the small letters appear)

so i want to know, what are the rules etc ? if someone could provide a link i would appreciate it alot !
sorry about my question not being clear, its just that i dont know the proper terms as im novice
thanks, much appreciated !!!

Please go here: http://www.talimiboardkzn.org/Books/...of_tajweed.pdf

On pages 16-17, there are rules of waqf (stopping). You can also buy "simplified rules of tajweed" from any bookstore or there may be an online copy. That should help you, inshaAllah. I also suggest to go to a quran teacher to help you understand what you read in different tajweed books and also to help you apply those rules the right way and test you to see if you are doing it correctly.
