Salam Aleykum,

I've been doing 3D animation and visual effects since a couple of years ago... First of all Animation is Moving Pictures and images, any TV show is an Animation in this sense because it is a set of moving frames that create the illusion of movement. This is a large domain with many branches, you can work in Video games, TV shows and Ads, Architecture ect... The cleanest path is architectural visualization although you need to insert and animate characters at some point (since you're an animator and that's your job) So what I do is stay away from female characters especially in close up shots since some clients ask you to put some nice looking ladies to make the project sell in this case you refuse. ALSO don't do anything with Casinos or Gambling or Bars (If you're sure its for drinking wine).

Besides if you look at your post #3, does it not have an angry red face on it? it means they allow it here.

Allah knows best

Salam Aleykum,

In the Arab world UAE is the best in the field followed by probably Saudi and a couple of companies in the surrounding countries (Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon ect..)
The best salary is in UAE and Saudi.

Confusion is forgiveable by Allah for the sincerity of a brother who obviously just joined the forum possibly just to clarify this question he had.
But what is your excuse for displaying self-righteousness? Maybe there is a hint of pride in your knowledge base and you forgot who gave you that understanding! Please do not forget the consequence of pride and to look down on a fellow Muslim also.

You can do animation and drawing of non-living things, but not of living things. Also, if you are going into media production, then there is also the issue of music, which we would have to avoid.
And Allaah knows best.

Salam Aleykm,

Autocad is for drawing sites and sections and such, these 2 dimensional lines are later exported from Cad and imported into a 3D application like Maya or Max which create 3 dimensional objects from those lines OR you can make the 3D model in Cad itself then import that into a 3D app then refine it because Cad is really poor in 3D.

However all of that does not matter ( At least from my experience ) because you're a 3D animator, you should concentrate on animation only and excel in this field to be accepted in descent companies.

Basically employees in Arch-Viz companies are separated to three main groups:
-Those who are good in 3D modelling and understanding Cad drawings in order to turn them to 3D objects, there are plenty of these guys and they work like robots without getting much in terms of salary.
-Those who are good in Rendering and Lighting to make the results look very realistic in the shortest time possible (this is a somewhat "advanced" field but a REALLY wanted one and they get very good salary).
-Those who do animation and effects such as animating the car traffic and the people and the moving tree leafs and the water and the birds flying in the air ect.ect... (Also a very important and wanted field in the business).

My advice concentrate on the 3D app and forget about architecture and Autocad altogether, then when you know your way around the app and can produce a good showreel the Arch companies will come running after you even if you don't know the basics of architecture.

In Arch-viz What is usually used is:
Autodesk 3D max.
Vray.
After-effects.
Photoshop.

Allah brings success.
