I am strapped for (PC) time brothers. I originally was thinking about posting in a few month old (IIRC) khilafah thread. Alhumdulillah, I think I found a solution regarding my own practical concerns, and just thought it best to ask immediately. I am pasting part of the draft that I had:

I actually need to post the practical ideas. I thought it would be great to know about deobandis in Hall Road (Lahore electronics market), and physics and chemistry professors with whom I could discuss the ideas in detail. Maybe something workable might be found.

My real objective is to be trying to do good and progressing. It would be better if I take stuff of the shelves of a good charactered Muslim (and be in his company) while I fulfill my scientific experimentation desire. Hopefully, working on some projects will help me get out and stay out of the rut of laziness and eventually progress to become fully practicing (including making spiritual bayah).

In fact, after writing it out, I feel its too important. I'll be writing concerning deeni matters tomorrow (not now) or the day after Inshallah. It would be great if I could get a shop address (in this thread) real soon.

My interests are thermoelectric generators, Fresnel lenses, absoption chillers. Oh and here is the thread about my UPS concerns (the physics acquaintance I mention was just a friend of my uncle's; the solution I mentioned above is for this summer):

I had been thinking to something similar.
1- Make a windmill using recycleable material (wind map suggests that Punjab is not good place for it (refering to Hall road))
2- Buy polycrystalline & monocrystalline solar cell and connect them together in parallel & series to get the desired voltage, current etc.
3- Parabolic reflective dish to collect sunlight/ heat (be careful, it can cook meat)
4- Use loads to capacitors in series to store power for a short time but that is theoretically have a knock on effect.

I found it shocking to see a UPS kept on charging the car/truck batteries, and they were very warn while the electrolite was actually boiling inside. This kills the life of the battery. Deep cycle battery is the way forward for the UPS.

Comming back to your question. I would advise you to visit
Masjid-e-Shuhada and contact any TJ brothers doing taleem there.

Subhanallah, I could have said I'll try and write in a few days or post sooner Inshallah. It's always better to try to follow the sunnah better.

There is a major idea, but that deals with khilafah. I posted since I felt something coherent might come from two minor ideas:

1) AGMs in cars could also power inverters.

Flooded Lead Acid batteries: do recycling processes produce particularly harmful pollution?

2) LEDs last longer compared to projector bulbs. LEDs ought to be alloted to PC displays.
