I think he means stay with your group i.e. your natural environment, society/culture and don't worry about it. I personally do not believe we should be living our lives thinking of things and worrying about that which we do not encounter. We should not have to be made constantly aware of what happens across the world when we are not able to understand what happens in front of our faces.

I think we can ponder over the arabic he said and then his last part of the sentence "Don't bother to answer them". This fatwa was not clear. Was it for or against or neutral? It can be interpreted all these ways, right?

Wallaahu ta'aalaa a'lam.

I think it was clearly against them. You can as well check out the Fatwa on Fazail-e-Amal. Other than that there's not much to comment on this fatwa...

Salaam,

He does not say don't do the effort of dawah, but he is saying not to join a particular group. If you are already a member of a group, that is enough, so be satisfied with that. We should not say that he is saying to not do the effort of dawah, as if tabligh jamaat is the exclusive effort of dawah.

Question:

Assalamu wa Alaykum ya mashaykh!

I have book faizal amaal, in my idiom is one the few books which are not published by Saudi Arabia but is dawah tabligh, the book speaks enough good things about Tasawwuf, dhikr, kashf, which were awliyah Ahlul Sunnah, as the Tabligh dawah this far my knowledge of this group is Deobandi and the Deobandis have several deviations in aqida, this book is far and sunni shares in which we must refrain from believing in him? There are gaps in it? because so far I do not know to distinguish them, the book by speaking well of the Awliya and be the one in my tongue, I do read it, it has wonderful stories of sahaba, cites several awliyah turuq, good practice and advise, but wanted know much about departures as the book is basic reading for anyone who is dawah Tabligh movement.

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

This book was written by a staunch Deobandi scholar Shaykh Muhammad Zakariyya Kandhalawi, and contains many good citations from valid Sunni sources about the benefits of reciting Dhikrullah, and Salawat (Darood Sharif), stories of Sahaba and Awliyaullah. However, recent printings of the book have removed sections that Wahabis found “objectionable”, so these editions are not trustworthy. So rather than risk becoming confused read the many books written by your mashaykh or those books they approve.

W ‘Allahu `alam,

Taher Siddiqui

http://eshaykh.com/doctrine/about-book-faizal-al-amaal/

Salaam,

I don't see any problem with this, as the jamaat would say the same thing; read the books of your elders, and elders here means your own deobandi elders. He speaks with respect of the book and Hadrat Shaikh rah, and only criticizes recent versions. I have been with jamaats that did their own "editing" of the book; if they were in talim, and the word 'sufi' came up, they would just 'pious man' if there were any arabs with them, and sometimes they would skip full passages of the text and commentary that had "sufi stories" in them.

And
verily! This your religion (of Islâmic Monotheism)
is one religion, and I am your Lord,
so keep your duty to Me.
But
they (men) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing
in its belief.
So
leave them in their error for a time.

Thats the ayah he quoted in context. I think the words "dont bother with them" also was not clear enough for some people.

Some of the most beautiful people i have ever met do tableegh. Having spent at least 4 months on jamat myself i can say with certainty none of them call themselves a sect or firka. Sad that a lot of people have no understanding of the work they do.

Hey they're not against' da'wah, did you not see their disco dancing form of da'wa?

Uh and the fatwa criticising removal of sections frm fazaa'il a'mal : what about their dubious shuyukh publishing forged ahadith to proove their dubious 'aqeedah (see more about this here : http://www.sunniforum.com/forum/show...d-Sa-id-Mamduh ).

I had one discussion with one of the students of Mufti Ebrahim Desai that I, personally, wouldn't recommend having Kutubus Sittah in the Masaajid but rather more books like Riyaad as-Saaliheen because people might get confused from reading books like Sahih Bukhari etc,. The Student [aka Mufti now] disagreed but alhamdulillah, discussions are nice if conducted properly.

Anyways, the problem nowadays is that people do not appreciate Ikhtilaaf.

I personally know deobandi ulama who have gone to Disneyland and other such amusement parks. I know a deobandi alim, finished through dewsbury, one year jamaat, and also attends a local multi cultural festival to sell halal hot dogs to raise money for the masjid association, even though they had belly dancers and music blasting throughout. I asked if there was any baraka in this, and was told, make the intention of doing dawah. I was also told that Mufti Taqi Uthmani wrote or said in Islahi Khutba that if you make the niyyah of doing dawah, then even going somewhere like disneyland is meritous (that needs to be verified, but I was told it by a deobandi alim). I also know another canadian deobandi alim finished in south africa) who told me that when non-muslims pass you on the street, its ok to look at them and smile, even if they are women. And he mentioned to me that he had done this himself earlier in the same day. So whats up with all that? I could drop names, but I am not going to.

Deobandis should clean up their own house before trying to clean up others. They have enough work to do.

I am a third party. Independent candidate as they would say in politics.

I say: Everyone should clean up his house, not just the deobandis, but barelwis, sufis, salafis, asharis, maturidis, etc etc...

if everyone does this, then the glory of ummah can be restored. Allah will not help or change a nation until ..........................

You can still clean your own and have it spotless before cleaning others.

Who care what Mr. Kabbani thinks. A sincere brother would do any effort that benefits the community be in a TJ form or not. Our task is to present deen in beautiful light with wisdom and good conduct and say We are muslims.

asak,

brother, in case you did not notice, the deobandi house has a hoover in it. it is currently a little rusty, but better than nothing.

Most other houses have only a brush with NO dustpan. they gather all the rubbish together all the rubbish and don't know what to do with because they have no dustpan let alone a hoover. and so all the rubbish has become part of their house.

Perhaps he should give real answers to people who are seeking advice rather than answering in puzzles.

did i forget to mention thats besides missing the dustpan, the toilet flush is also out of order in the apologetics/modernists house.

OK you are right, the deobandis are the best, and the rest of the muslims are filth. Excellent analyses, no bias at all.
