Default List of actions [Task] are prohibited during Khutba at Friday.

I need a list of actions [Task] that are prohibited during khutba at Friday. Can anyone provide a book or point out with reference?

The following list is taken from "Ta'leemul Haq":

Things Not Allowed During The Khutbah

- Talking.
- Offering Sunnah and Nafl Salah.
- Eating.
- Drinking.
- To reply to any talk.
- Reciting the Qur'an etc.

All those things which disturb the Khutbah become Makruh from the minute the Imam prepares to deliver the Khutbah. The following is taken from "Bahishti Zewar (Heavenly Ornaments)":

Injuctions for Juma Sermon

1 -- It is highly execrable to offer any prayer or talk when Khutba is being delivered. But offering postponed prayer is allowed and essential.
2-- When the Khutba has begun it is essential for all present to listen it whether they are sitting near the Imam or at some distance. It his highly execrable to do anything which obstructs the hearing of Khutba. To eat, drink, talk, walk, greet, respond to greeting, to recite any prayer or to explain any religious problem during Khutba are all prohibited. It is, however, permissible for the deliverer of the Khutba to explain some religious problem during the Khutba.
3-- If the Khutba begins while one is offering Sunna or Nafl prayer, then the Sunna should be completed and the Nafl should be concluded after two Raka'ats only.
4-- It is highly execrable for the Imam or the followers to pray with raised hands during the sitting of the Imam between the two Khutbas but praying within oneself is permissible provided no words are spoken neither loudly nor in a low voice. To recite items of farewell or seperation in the Khutba of the last Friday of Ramadan is not reported from the Holy Prophet or his Companions.
5-- It is permissible to read the Khutba from a book.
6-- It is permissible for the listeners to recite Darood Sharif within themselves on hearing the holy names of the Prophet occurring in the Khutba. The following is an excerpt from a book with the name of "Sunnats":

Sunnahs of Jumu'ah (Friday)

S.8 One should listen attentively to the Khutbah even if one does not understand. One should not speak or even warn another to keep quiet while the Khutbah is in progress.

S.9 When Nabi's name is mentioned in the Khutbah, it is ja'iz (permissible) to recite Durud in the heart only (without the movement of the lips or tounge).

S.10 Between the two Khutbahs one can make Du'a. It is permissible to make Du'a without raising the hands or moving the lips (i.e. Du'a should be made in the heart only without the movement of the lips or the tounge).

Things Not Allowed During The Khutbah
- Offering Sunnah and Nafl Salah

But Hadiths found in Bukhari & Muslim r showing totally opposite position what was mentioned above.

Bukhari: Volume 2, Book 21, Number 267:
Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah :

While delivering a sermon, Allah's Apostle said, "If anyone of you comes while the Imam is delivering the sermon or has come out for it, he should offer a two Rakat prayer."

MUSLIM
Chapter 159 : OBSERVING OF TWO RAKIAHS AS A SALUTATION OF THE MOSQUE WHILE THE IMAM IS DELIVERING (THE SERMON)

Muslim: Book 4, Number 1901:
Jabir b. 'Abdullah said that the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) delivered the sermon and said: When any one of you comes for the Friday (prayer) and the Imam comes out (from his apartment), (even then) should observe two rak'ahs (of prayer).

Muslim: Book 4, Number 1903:
Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported: Sulaik Ghatafani came on Friday when the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) was delivering the sermon. He (Sulaik) sat down. He (the Holy Prophet) said to him: 0 Sulaik I stand and observe two rak'ahs and make them short, and then said: When any one of you comes on Friday, while the Imam delivers the sermon, he should observe two rak'ahs and should make them short.

Just a small clarification. The following point:

S.9 When Nabi's name is mentioned in the Khutbah, it is ja'iz (permissible) to recite Durud in the heart only (without the movement of the lips or tounge). It is only regarding when the verse يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا is recited. Hence, the rest of the khutba the person should remain silent and listen attentively.

and Allah Ta'ala Knows Best.

Just to clarify: the part you quoted said that one should remain silent and not recite durud. So did you mean that during the rest of the khutba, a person shouldn't even send durud in his heart, or does it mean that one should recite durud by tongue when this ayah is recited?

Sorry for my confusion.

Have u understood these hadith yet? Can plz tell us what is the meaning of these hadith?

No I have not but have you taken it literally?

I'll do one thing, I'll give you free of cost, Fath al-Baari of Ibn Rajb. Your duty is to search the Hadeeth and read the Sharh.

This is a good question. When the verse is recited then the person can send durood but only in his heart, so to clarify there is permission to recite durood in the heart only when the verse is recited. The rest of the khutba the person should listen to the khutba.

and Allah Ta'ala Knows Best.

Its really very funny for a layman like me to see that these ghair muqallids shout from morning to evening that taqleed is shirk.

But they themselves do taqleed of a persons such as arabic translations OF ARABIC TRANSLATORS.

if you are a ghair muqallid then you should know arabic grammar very well brother

Because ghair muqallids have only two rules

1.Book of Allah (SWT)
2.Book of Rasool

I m a MUSLIM brother.

Because ghair muqallids have only two rules

1.Book of Allah (SWT)
2.Book of Rasool As we know our prophet left following things

Malik :: Book 46 : Hadith 46.1.3
Yahya related to me from Malik that he heard that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "I have left two matters with you. As long as you hold to them, you will not go the wrong way. They are the Book of Allah and the Sunna of His Prophet."

Assalamu alaykum

They are the Book of Allah and the Sunna of His Prophet. Rasulullah SAS asked us to follow the sunnah. What is the difference between hadeeth and sunnah.

, ignoring the fitna fuelling khabees ul khabais on this thread, i have a sincere question for the scholars...I repeat scholars, righto... i have seen in our masajid that if the imam recites a dua for islam and muslims during the khutba the people say ameen in a normal tone (not AMEEEEEEEEEEEEEN like some idiots)...Is this allowed??
