Assalamualykum,
I recently contacted Frito-lay via email and asked them if the Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos had any animal or alcoholic by-products, they replied: There are no animal ingredients in Doritos Spicy Sweet Chili. We cannot disclose the specific make-up of an ingredient as this is considered proprietary information, as are many product recipes in the food industry. Ingredients are often reformulated, and the processing aids that are used can change from time to time. In addition, Frito-Lay sometimes uses several suppliers for the same ingredient, and these vendors may use different processing methods. Frito-Lay and its suppliers always ensure safety and compliance with all regulations. We consider you a valued consumer and hope you will continue to enjoy snacks from Frito-Lay. What should I do?? This has to got be a more recent development. As recently as a year ago, I contacted Frito-Lay (in the US) and I was informed that the majority of its Doritos brand chips did have some sort of animal product in them. |
