Assalamualaikum wr wb
Im struggling to understand how Adam (as) can perform 1000 haj if he only lived for 960 years? Narrated AbuHurayrah Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said: When Allah created Adam, He touched his back, and there fell from his back every soul that He would create from his offspring till the Day of Resurrection and He created between the two eyes of every person a gleam of light. Then He presented them to Adam who said: My Lord who are they? He (the Lord) said: They are your offspring. He (Adam) saw a person from amongst them and he felt attracted towards him and the sparkle of light between his two eyes. He said: My Lord, who is he? (The Lord) said: It is David. He (Adam) said: My Lord, what span of life have you allotted to him? He replied: Sixty years. He said: My Lord, enhance his age from my age (to the extent of forty years). Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said: When Adam completed his age life-span with only forty years remaining, there came to him the angel of death. Thereupon Adam said: Are there not forty years left in my life-span? The angel said: Did you not confer your son (forty years). Adam denied it and so did his offspring. Adam forgot and ate (the fruit) of the tree and so his offspring also forgot and he (Adam) committed an error and so did his offspring commit an error. Transmitted by Tirmidhi |

I thought there was no Arabic translation of Fadhail-e A'maal? Or is it a very recent publication? |

Assalamualaikum wr wb one should not strain his understanding in these matters..if Hazrat Adam even lived for a single day and an authentic hadith narrates he performed 2000 Haj.. khalaas.. he performed 2000 Haj.. come what may.. this was the attitude of our beloved sahaba radhi allahu anhum ajmaen.. they threw reason far behind at the single command of our beloved Prophet .. and even a persisting subtle doubt these days imprisons faith at the hands of Modernists.. rationalists.. hadith rejectors.. who like retarded trolls living under the bridge of their own foolishness raise their head to trap gullible muslims..May Allah save us all..ameen.. duas.. wa assalam.. |

Adam could have performed multiple Hajjs in a year. Since, his children would be born in a day. Nothing far How are children being born in a single day be related to performing Haj multiple times an year. What I have know is that Haj occurs only once a year. If you are saying that the Shariah law at that time would have allowed one to perform Haj more than once in an year then that makes sense. I have also heard that adam / eve gave birth to twins and not single child as it normally happens these days. I will also be priviledged to have the reference of the hadith or tafseer or any proof that talks about children of Adam a.s. being born in a single day. Also, if someone can share the authentic hadith of Adam a.s. performing 2000 Haj as mentioned by dr76. Brother tawlib, you have shared the Hadith of Tirmidhi and stated that the life spam of Adam a.s. is 960 years i.e. 1000 - 40 = 960. However, I don't see the mention of 1000 yrs as his life span in that hadith. So, is there somewhere/somehow else that gives the impression that his age was 960. Please be polite and help me understand. I am here to support the matter of the O.P quote. |

and they even proclaimed arrogantly man ashaddu minna quwwa.. Did they not see that Allah Who had created them is more powerful than them? In that same Surah there is a lesson of what bigger and stronger creations said: Thereafter Allah turned (His attention) to the sky, which was smoke, and said to it, as well as to the earth, "Come to Us (submit to Us) willingly or unwillingly." Both replied, "We shall come willingly. Fussilat:11 |

Strength without Iman in Allah is useless... and for a 1400 gms of Human brain its so difficult to submit to his master.. just because he is given 'Will" and suspended with Alam naj'al lahu aynaini wa lisanau washafataini wa hadainahun najdain.. so now they will either throw everything aside and run towards thier master or cover themselves in their flawed reason and go astray.. May Allah guide us all.. ameen.. duas.. wa assalam.. |
