Is this quote from Fazail-e-amal ?
 

Assalamualaikum,

I happen to come across this quote on some web blog.

"hz aadam as ne hindustan se paidal chal kar ek hazaar hajj kiye"

Translation: Prophet Adam a.s performed 1000 Haj walking all the way from India.

Please help me find this quote or something close to this or confirm if it is a bogus claim and falsely attributed to the book Fazail-e-Amal [Haj].

I fear Shaykh Al-Bani had touched that book [Awareness & Apprehension (English translation of "At-Targheeb Wat-Tarheeb") ]

Can someone provide the original book with the page volume reference regarding the hadith about prophet Adam a.s doing 1000 HAJJ ?

The book is Targheeb wa tarheeb by Allama Mundhiri r.a. Most of the da'eef narrations have been mentioned with Ruwiya Seegha.

At Targheeb Wa'Tarheeb by Hazrat Hafiz Zakiuddin Abdul Azeem Bin Abdul Qawi Al Munziri http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/rahma.gif (died 606 H) is a collection of sahihain from where Hazrat Shaikhul Hadees Maulana Zakariyya sahab Kandhelwi Nawwar Allahu Marqadahu has quoted extensively in his Fadhail Amaal..Translated into urdu as Al Basheeru wan Nazeeru by Hazrat Maulana Muhammed Usman sahab Madani db..

I just asking for my knowledge, not becoz I consider his research to be "devine".

Are you saying that the narration about Sayyidina Adam (AS) having performed 1000 Hajj "walking" is in Targheeb wa tarheeb by Allama Mundhiri or are you making a general comment about the book?

A group of ulema in gulf were working on collecting all the references of ahadeeth and stories in fazail-e-amal and haj. It was to be published as a book. Are you aware of this and whether this book is published.

do u mean to say the new Arabic Fazail-e-Amal with references..The research work in ahadith is done by Hazrat Maulana Abdur Rasheed Nadwi sahab. db (resides in K.S.A) with foreword by Hazrat Maulana Muhammed Rabe Hasani sahab Nadwi db, i had gifted a copy to Hazrat Maulana Usman sahab Madani db who was very happy to see it.

i dont know yet.. see u must have been to Kumbarpet Markaz, Bangalore ..there is a book shop just opposite owned by a hafiz sahab (im not able to recollect his name, shall post here later with his number insha Allah..).. keeps a good collection.. he can get u books ordered from deoband or saharanpur.. u may try him..
