How not to get provoked .. ?

Salam. i just wanted to ask how people restrain themselves when they arre annoyed or provoked. I usually find my self being annoyed when people make statements e.g. somene said oh the deobandis are too harsh and they aren right. another one was someone using a statment of Shikh yaqoubi who said that if you love imam raza then your from ahlus sunnah wal jammah. i know these statements may be centred around the barelvi - deobandi issues, howver as i know a few barelvi personally i have focused on things that we have in common. My query is regarding people who make some sheikhs seem exclusive to them while promoting an agenda and also refraining from engaging people who insult other muslims

wasalaam

Technology will differ from one case to other.
With Bralwis logic is not going to be of much help.
With Salafis it will be difficult to communicate that logic is not be all and end all.

The Qur'an says it is better to forgive. (so does Injeel)

Salam Aleykum,

The best method in not getting angry in debates is to be really knowledgeable, polite, and able to get your ideas across.

Assalamu alaykum

During the discussion, I think that "what this man is speaking, the words are not his own". He is playing a cassette. Let his master appear then we can get wild.

funnily enough, some of those people who provoke tend to be maliki and think that deobands are too strict s tasawuf.

This is what Imam Shafi'i http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/rahma.gif said:

Treat foolishness with patience

The fools speak to me with all vulgarity
So I hate to respond likewise in turn
They increase in their evil, so I increase in my patience
Like an incense that becomes more fragrant when burned
