Assalaam'aaleykum!

Has there been any jama'at for Muslims working in Bollywood? If no, then why not? Fact that Bollywood is dominated by Muslims is indisputable. Then, do they not come under those on whom tableegh Jama'at should pay attention to? Or working on these high profile-Jahil is something that Tableegh Jama'at intentionally avoids.

I have just shared with you a random thought and would like to know your views on this.

As for Da'wah, they definately need it, i once seen a Bollywood Actor [Muslim by name and by birth] and he's a supposed 'superstar', bowing to idols? and making his daughter bow to idols and kiss the Quran simultaniously, i watched this on channel 4 [UK]. Na`udhu Billah.

People like Salman Khan are not muslims. He claimed to be a "practicing" muslim in an interview yet bows to idols and sees nothing wrong in it, defiles the Quraan by placing it at the feet of an idol, teaches his kids hindu verses but nothing of the Quraan, he even arrogantly claims he understands the Quraan how it should be understood not as the muslims do (!), i.e selectively believing certain verses, rejecting others.

He refuses to tell his kids one religion is better than the other and has never given his wife who is hindu, any sort of dawah.

Yes, there are misguided muslims who have a slight hint of Imaan, but when someone tells you his views which are contrary to Islam, that person is not a muslim anymore. He's sacrificed his Deen for this Dunya, I say he's welcome to it.

This runs throughout Bollywood where nominal muslims marry hindus and the prevailing belief system is overwhemingly Hindu.

Some have come out the other side down to Allah's mercy, such as Yusuf Khan aka Dilip Kumar who in an Ijtema some time back, got in front of the masses and cried his eyes out over his past life.

The guy who "Fell in love with the mother" and then married the daughter (Sairo Bano).

Before that he was in love with Nargis (Sanjay Dutt's mother) but dumped her because of "Mother-India" and before that Madhu-Bala (Mumtaz Begum Jehan Dehlavi) to get a Career start but then he came hit in Aan and didn't need Madhu-Bala

It is true that both Dilip Kumar & Sairo Bano are sympathetic towards the work and Sairo Bano participates in Ta'leem etc .

In the new generation AR Rahman (who 2 days won became the fist Indian to win golden globe) is also sympathetic towards the work. He also regularly fasts and prays.

Salman Khan has nothing to do with Islam and neither does ShahRukh Khan.

I have heard that Amir Khan's (Muslim) Fiancee (or school-Girl-Friend as it wasn't ever official) before he married his first Hindu wife (Something Dutta???) was the daughter of a Tableeghi.

Amir Khan's ancestors are Ahl-e-Hadeeth, arent' they because they are related to Maulana Abul-Kalam Azad (RA)? Check up on it as I am pretty sure that he has some connection to Maulana?
