Default Ibn Taymiyyah on philosophy and reason
Innocent thought and Aristotelian logic have traditionally impacted every department of human epistemology since their introduction. Christianity had to cope with it first and through its background Christianity has been attempting to make it self squeeze into the areas of Aristotelian logic and innocent thought. Islam was effected by these two doctrines as well. The introduction of numerous variations like Jahamiyyah and Mutaziliyyah has been related to the results of Greek reason and concepts. The gnostic movement was effected by the same philosophies with in the christians and the gnostic movement in following the the Muslims taken Syria formed in to what's referred to as Tasawwuf. Hellenistic philosophies also had a serious impact on the movement and exactly the same philosophies impacted Tasawwuf as well. The most known case of the indoctrination of Hellenistic concepts in to Islam may be the idea of Wahdat Ul Wujood. The entire of the problem was of a serious awareness of Shaykh Ul Islam Ibn Taymiyyah rahimahullah for obvious reasons. Although commonly referred to as a, Shaykh Ul Islam rahimahullah went deep in to the fundamentals of Aristotelian logic, Greek concepts and Hellenistic conceptualizations of God (Wahdat Ul Wujood) and debunked the triviality and sophistry of philosophy and logic. His refutations against these schools are available in several of his books particularly Al Rad Alal Mantiqyoon al Yoonaan (Part of the guide has been translated into English as Ibn Taymiyyah against the traditional logicians) entitled. Nevertheless, Maulana Haneef Nadwi collected some extracts from the different publications of Shaykh Ul Islam rahimahullah and constructed them in the shape of a book entitled "Aqaliyyat elizabeth Ibn Taymiyyah." The book is just a great work and will be of a great interest for the students of information. The conversation included the opinions of Shaykh Ul Islam on Greek reasoning, viewpoint, the divine qualities, anthropomorphism, Wahdat Ul Wujood, ideas of Al Ghazali, Ashai'rah and the problems of Sifaat elizabeth ta'ala and a lot more. It may be saved and read from the hyperlink listed below. [Mod note: Pseudo salafi links perhaps not allowed]
