I recall when I was young and very ignorant that on watching a documentary on Iran before 1979... I was shocked! I didn't know the history. I had thought Iran was very conservative and religious from seeing footage in the 80s. I have read about Christian missionary attempts in Iran and my doubts are that part of the "war on Iran" by west is by these same misssionarys, after Iranian govt.cracked them down. Modern missionary propoganda by many christians is to use the "persecuted" and "liberators" appearance, to get converts or atleast a pro-christian government. (You should start a new topic on christian proselytizing in Iran with authentic facts and figures. Its a important topic. The rumors on this are being used by Christians to give the impression that something big is going on there.)

Finally, there is a prophecy that a large number of dajjals followers would emerge from tht region I.e. Isfahan. So don't let those apostates drag you down with them.
