Muslims, what is your opinion about Towers of Bait(or Ibraj Al-Bait) in Mecca? Towers whose shadow sometimes umber the holy house of God...

Allah protect us, now the graves of the sahabah and Awliyah are not safe. So the most important thing for these people is the destroying the graves of the Awliyah.

No evidence to show that they have re-buried it, we have the same destruction hapenning in Somalia, Egypt and the Bombing of shrines of awliyah in Pakistan, May Allahs wrath Descend upon these extremists. Here is the latest news from Libya concerning this issue....http://www.saudigazette.com.sa/index...20120828134220

there is no evidence that the body was thrown away either. just an assumption in a blog.

as for evidence you asked. please see:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-19380083

"In November last year, the bodies of two Muslim clerics were removed from the Sidi Nasr shrine and mosque in Tripoli and reburied according to the principles of the hardline Wahabi school of Islam."

p.s i am not defending these actions. just that spade should be called a spade.

They never would be counted as extremists in Islam and Sharia, they are extremists in their Aqeeda and their leaders opinion.

It is sunnah to destroy the idols and the tombs and shrines in our age have become idols. I would be more than pleased with the one who destroys all the tombs without disrespecting the bodies inside them. It is a calamity that the Muslim Umaah is undergoing so many challenges of various kinds and some people want to continue their irrational love story with tombs and graves.

Here in Karachi , the barelvis have come up with a new innovation. They are setting up the offices of sunni Tehreek (a militant barelvi organization) in graveyards. Internal disputes between Barelvis have started on the issue of control over the control of graveyards as the caretakers of the tombs (who also happen to be barelvis) want to keep on using graves as money factories. The nation which is fighting over graves and which wants to rule from graveyards needs no external enemy.

perhaps the shrines in libya weren't subject to what the shrines in pakistan are.

So destroying and desecrating graves is the most important thing, considering the challenges the ummah is facing? And rather then educate the ignorant masses about some practices done at shrine, these fanatics think they are serving the deen by inciting and sowing the seeds of a sectarian war. These are Khwarij and no respect is due to them.
