Quantity but no quality?
 Why do people grab onto the right shoulders? What is its significance? And when you say shaykh, are you refering to Kabbani? I was watching one of the vids on sufiLive and I saw one where a man and 2 women were singing songs with music (Click here and watch Part 1). How do you justify this? The men and women bit. If I were to join this tariqah then it would only be because of the deeper understanding. |

You would have to ask a shaykh why they grab onto the right shoulder. Mawlana has many khalifas Shaykh Kabbani being one of them. Mawlana allows music .. therefore as murids we don't object simply follow. Many Awliyah have allowed music .. if you have a problem with music simply don't listen. I would suggest you do the guidance prayer in finding a shaykh this would give you certainty on who to follow. I was referring to the fact that men and women were singing together, not the music itself. Another thing that has me quite baffled, some of the women who attend these gatherings aren't observing complete hijab. For instance, some of their arms are showing, or their chests are bare and so on. Shouldnt someone point it out to them? Sorry if I am bombarding you with question, I have so many but no one to answer them! |

Salamu'alaykum, The most important thing to remember is Shaykh Maulana's videos and sohbets are very clear and simple. People like to add this and that, but the message is 100% pure and simple Islam. As far as people claiming to hear things from Shaykh Maulana 'spiritually' and decide to preach to others based on that and their 'experiences'.. I'm not ready to judge them, but I need to believe it from a line of authority. Often these are people who never seen Shaykh Maulana physically much less even have his telephone number. Those without authority who speak on these matters carry no weight for me. A lot of imaginative people 'join' Sufi Tariqats, who turn away no one ... I just called the dergah but noone picked up.. I was wondering though, since I have no means of transportation there, is it okay to take bayaat on the phone?
If I can't do that then I will try my best Insha'Allah to go there. |

 I know Sheikh Nazim has influence numbers of Malaysian so profoundly. However i cant help but wonder why isit that those who are with the naqshbandi tariqah, most of them are from the elite/upper class group, hm safe to say only the rich well off ones are in this tariqah, well that is in Malaysia as far as i know. So this fact kinda makes ppl think otherwise abt the tariqah. However on a personal note, I've been reading some books by Sheikh Nazim Al-Haqqani and his Grandsheikh and Alhamdulillah i found it of good benefit for myself.

I was wondering if there is any Naqshbandi-Haqqani here I would like to speak to him on taking bayah in the Naqshbandi Tariqah. No there is none Naqshbandi-Haqqani related here. My Dear brother you have kinda ended up in the wrong forum for the help you need. Most of the people in this forum are DEOBANDIS which a sect within Sunnis and they are very Anti-Haqqanis.So becareful that you might get misinformed on what you wana know. These Deobandis will lead you onto someone who is a deobandi/naqshbandi person/group. My advice to you is if you wana do Bayah with Moulana Sheikh Nazim than you should travel to Cyprus and personally meet the Great Shaikh.
