Just thought about sharing few incidents while I was on umrah this time.. how Allah (swt) decides our fate at times is really incredible and beyond our weak understanding..



I reached Jeddah on 24th August at about 230 pm noon saudi time… surprisingly immigration was very quick way beyond their usual standards.. the night before I had packed the trolley bag rather hurriedly .. putting in my wallet stashed with currency notes.. also with credit and debit cards. .my iphone, . Also.. amanat of few ppl that were to behanded down at makkah mukarrama.. it was very rare of me to do such a thing.. that I carry items of value in person..



Now I stand waiting at the conveyer belt for luggage..till the last one was down.. my impatience growing every minute to be told that I shall have to wait for a few hrs more.. after a good 4 hrs I was told that it has been misplaced somewhere and I shall have to come tomorrow..

So here I was.. with only Ihram on me and a passport.. mayb few hundred riyals.. nothing else.. I was made a complete faqeer in the real sense !



I was lucky that my cousin and uncle were at makkah.. so after Umrah I had to borrow a lungi from him.. and went about to buy a thobe and undergarments..! subhan Allah.. u come to value clothes when u have none..



Hazrat Maulana Farooq Makki sb db was amongst the first ppl to call me.. I told him what happened .. he asked me to recite a verse from surah luqman.. ya bunayya to latheefun khabeer 148 times.. and ya hafeezu ya hafeezu ya aleem 104 times.. said that I shall definitely get it back..insha Allah..



we met the next day .. said that Allah (swt) wanted to cut me off from everything and keep me in Makkah Muazzamah exclusively for him.. and for makki sahab himself .. he said Allah (swt) wanted to cut his thought away from medicines and fix on Allah (swt) ..



So days passed .. like a faqeer.. but ibadah was something really different in this condition.. when u have nothing with u beside Allah (swt)..



I went to Jeddah thrice .. only to be told that they are trying.. have sent email to the airlines. They told me it was untraceable at the end.. but something inside kept telling me that I shall find it .. insha Allah.. .



Eid was in Makkah mukarramah… and I was to leave for Medinah Munawwara at 3pm.. so I left the blessed city early.. and took the flight..

All the way I kept thinking about the blessed city and how these unclean feet would walk on it.. with thoughts of my luggage coming in at times..



Anyhow I landed in Madina airport… was walking towards the belt when something inside me kept saying to go ahead towards my right. .after a few steps .. I thought I saw something .. that resembled my bag.. I went closer.. in total disbelief of what I was seeing.. my bag was lying there in a corner..!! for a second I was stunned.. how in the world could it land here,..

I felt it with hands to be sure.. 6 days had passed with no sign of it .. and here it is in Madina munawwara.. I called maulana Farooq sb db.. he said U shall find Allah (swt) in Madinah Munawwara.. he asked me to present his salaams at the noble court..



I reached hotel.. took bath.. called Hazrat Maulana usman sahab db.. he asked me to meet after isha.. and after isha I went to present my unclean self at the noble court of our beloved Nabi salallahu alaihi wasallam.. gave my salam..

Ya Allah.. what shall I say.. feel ashamed to walk on those blessed streets.. and here this bundle of sins dares to enter the noble haram..



Hazrat Maulana Muhammed Usman sahab db is a big buzurg..

he is a khalifa of Hazrat Dr. Abdus Salam sahib db (khalifa of hazrat Maulana Khalifa Ghulam Rasool Saheb rah. Who was khalifa of Hazrat Maulana Ahmed Ali Lahori sb rah.).

This is also a person who has balanced both tableegh and tasawwuf very gracefully.. masha Allah.. he was 1st bayat to Hazrat Shaikhul Hadees sahab Nawwar Allahu marqadahu.. then to Hazratji Maulana Inamul Hassan sb (rah).



On the advice of hazratji (rah) he underwent training training in Qadriya sulook under Hazrat Maulana khalifa ghulam rasool sb (rah).. but while in madinah he choses to remain hidden for obvious reasons…





I met him at gate number 34.. subhan Allah he was walking without a stick.. I saw him last yr complaining of arthritis and walking with support..



We had a big embrace.. and he was very affectionate towards me since me met..



He told me to sit near a pillar till he finished with someone.. came in soon after .. and began to converse.. I told him about the new fazail e amal in Arabic.. his face lightened and was very happy to learn that ive brought him a copy.. ppl came on to meet him after every few minutes....so he asked if I could come over to his place at the moment.. how could I refuse..



Yak zamana sohbate ba aulia bather az sad sala ta'ate beriya…



So while we walked towards the car park I asked about his health and the arthritis.. he told me something ajeeb.. said that a doctor of alternative medicine was visiting Madina few months back.. he claimed to have mastered a cure for many diseases by just altering the diet and eating specific food.. it seems he examines the eye very carefully and believes that each eye is different and it reflects the health and physiological state of different organs of the body..

Also he takes a lot of time asking questions.. about 25 of them..



Said that hazrat Maulana Tariq jameel sb db was affected with splitting headaches since many years.. approximately at noon time.. consulted many doctors and amils..in vain.. and Alhamdulillah he was cured by this doctor..



So it was kinda very boring amswering him .. till maulana even said enough.. but he persisted.. and gave him a diet.. it seems within one week his pain disappeared.. and now he walks freely.. masha Allah.. said that there are only two such doctors in Pakistan ...



We reached his flat which may be about two kilometers away from haram..



I asked him about Hazrat Maulana Sher Muhammed sindhi (rah) khalifa of hazrat thanvi (rah) .. said that he was a giant in both uloom e zahir and batin and was also known as Ustad ul Jaan.. that many jinnat were under his tutelage..

He seemed to have played an important role in tahreek Reshmi Rumaal and delivered a letter to Shaikh ul Arab wal Ajam Haji Imdadullah muhajir makki sahab (rah) .. who gave him khilafat..

and his death was attended by many jinnat and rijal ul ghaib..



His son Hazrat maulana Anwar sahab db is now incharge of the madrassa as well as his janasheen.. it seems Hazrat Maulana Anwar sahab db has given khilafat to Maulana usman sb db ..





Someone called him over the fone.. spoke in Arabic.. after he finished .. he said this person is really ajeeb.. said u know I met him few months in Riyadh .. when I learnt that there is an Arab Alim / shaikh who gives lecture on tazkiyatul Quloob. I felt strange since these ppl never approach this subject. . I had the intention to meet him.. went over to his place.. just exchanged pleasentries.. nothing much.. and returned..



After a month he visits Madina and straight to my flat and says plz enrol me in ur silsila.. I was amazed !.. even after giving excuses he would not bulge.. he was around 35 – 38.. said that he has read almost every book available on tasawwuf in Arabic and feels it is on haq.. that his people are so deprived of and dry .. and that he does not need any dalail to prove the legitimacy of tasawwuf..

He also feels that those ahadith considered weak by muhadditin could not only be used on fazail but even as Ahkaan sharaiyyah..



It seems he gave him the three tasbeehat and few surah's to read that he was not comfortable to give anything more.. and it seems now he has reached the Latifa e Siir.. and was asking for all the asbaq.. so maulana told him to go slow..



Once Maulana visited Riyadh without informing him and he called him as soon he reached.. Maulana was astonished.. asked him how he knew.. said that his wife had a dream that maulana was in Riyadh and that his wifes dreams always come true..

He told maulana that once a Turkish Shaikh visited him and seeing his interest told him that u shall get ur shaikh rt here in ur house.. and it happened so..



Allah (swt) gives to whoever he wills..

Dastarkhwan was spread.. I saw some delicious looking haleem.. dahi bare and samosas with kheer laid out.. I never refuse even a glass of water at the place of ulema and mashaikh..( though Im not fond of social gatherings and stuff) Im inspired by imam shafii (rah) who ate to his flll when halal food was served at his friends place.. subhan Allah.. they really have a lasting effect on ibadah.


The mention of Hazrat Maulana Faqeer Muhammed sahab (rah) moistened his eyes.. he asked me if I ever saw him.. I shook my head in negative.. said that while in Madrassa binnori Town .. whenever they would hear someone crying profusely from the 1st row of masjid towards extreme rt.. they would know that Hazrat Maulana Faqeer Muhammed sahab (rah) has arrived.. it seems his cheeks bore marks due to excessive crying…



I asked him how did he meet Dr. Abdus salam sahab db.. said that many yrs back he was practicing here and engaged in work of tableegh..and spreading his silsila.. so to caution him there was a mashwara and maulana was made the mutakallim..



Maulana asked him whom he was bayat to.. he told the name of Hazrat Maulana Khaleefa Ghulam Rasool Sahab (rah).. then took out a diary containing the malfoozat of hazrat khaleefa sahab (rah) and began to read.. an ajeeb kaifiyat over took maulana.. he felt the colour of Mutaqaddimeen sulook in his malfuzaat.. all the while he felt that such buzurgs existed somewhere deep in jungles doing khilwat or hidden in caves up the mountains.. inacessable to people.. and here it is that I come across one such wali Allah.. he asked Dr.sahab where and how he could meet Hazrat Khaleefa sahab (rah) .. said that he stays at dera Ismail khan , dehat - laal mahida.



They made plans to meet him together in the vacation that year. with dr sahab db as the guide, they set out from Raiwind markaz after isha to Lahore .. and from there took a bus for Dera Ismail khan .they prayed Fajr at Madrassa Naumaniya, Dera ismail khan. The Muhtamim Sahab was Shaikhul Hadees Hazrat Maulana Alauddin sahab db a student of Shaikhul Islam Hazrat Maulana Syed Hussain Ahmed Madani sb Nawwar Allahu marqadahu.. hazrat served them breakfast.. and after some brief rest they again set out on the blessed journey..



From the city they had taken along provisions for food and drink as he was told that hazrat (rah) lived in extreme poverty and austerity.. this made a mark on his heart and increased the love for him..



When they reached his village he found the road to be nothing but of mud and his house very simple.. they feared the road to be closed due to heavy rains.

At last they entered his house..



While seated maulana felt his impatience growing every second to meet hazrat.. then entered a frail looking human supported by two people.. maulana kissed his forehead and hands.. dr sahab introduced him and hazrat seemed to feel happy at the mention of Madinat Rasool salallahu alaihi wasallam.. and put his head down.. then he started to speak on the love of Hazrat Rasooulullah salallau alaihi wasallam.. at this meeting or on some other meeting he said



' Mera salaam Madine ki galiyon .. deewaron.. pahadon ko kah dena.. kyon ke in pahadon pe mere Aqaa salallahu alaihi wa sallam ki nazar padhi hai.. , wo ardhe muqqaddas, muqaddas zameen aur shahar hai.. bada pyaara mulk hai Allah ta'ala aap ko adab ki taufeeq de.. Madine ke kutton ko apne se aala samjho..Maulana Qasim Nanotawi (rah) ne farmaya Aye Allah ! mujhe madine ke kutton me shumar karna.. aap ka maqam muhajireen ka hai.. aap ne Karachi se Madina munawwara hijrat ki hai .. humare liye humesha dua karte raha karo.. jab bhi durbar e nabuwwat me haaziri ho .. dubar e nabuwwat me salat o salam ardh karo.. yaron ko bhi salam kahdo..Baqee walo ko.. azwaj e mutahharat razi allau tala anhuma.. Shaikhul Hadees Qutub ul aqtab ko mera salam arz karo.. Uhud ke pahadon ko bhi mera salam do.. Ashaab e Uhud rizwanullah ta'ala ajmaen ko bhi mera salam do.. agar Isa alaih salam ka nuzool aap ki zindagi me hojaye ..in ko bhi mera salaam kaho ..'



Said that his house was so remotely placed that even Dr sahab db would find difficult to locate .. said that once dr sahab db reached his village after dark.. and somehow became lost searching for his house.. then.. After sometime he saw a tube like light raised high quite faraway.. he followed the light to the house and saw to his bewilderment that Hazrat (rah) was in muraqabah and a beam of light rose from his chest straight to the sky.. !!



It seems he specialized only in zikr till he reached the age of 60 when he married and became an Alim.. his Ustad was Shaikhul hadees Maulana Alauddin sahab db.. it was funny to see that hazrat (rah) would address him as Ustad and his ustad would address him as hazrat.



He was fond of ahle ilm ba' amal hazraat.. asked once what time he reached Madrassa Naumaniya.. maulana replied at fajar salaat.. he said ..



'" kabhi tahajjud ke waqt madrasse me jao.. aur mere ustad mohtaram Maulana Alauddin damat barakatuhum ki Allah ke saamne giriya zaari ko dekho.. apni safed daadhi ko pakad kar Allah ke saamne pesh karte hue kahte.. Mere Allah..! boodha hoon safed baalon ka waasta deta hoon .. mujhe azaab na karma.. itna rote ke dekhne waalon ko raham aajata.. "





Said that once dars e bukhari of Hazrat Maulana Alauddin sahib db was in progress and hazrat khalifa sb (rah) was in Muraqaba.. he saw that Hazrat Imam bukhari (rah) was seated and was smiling listening to his dars.. after dars he informed Hazrat maulana Alauddin sb (db) of the presence of Imam Bukhari (rah).. Hazrat Maulana db began to weep profusely.. saying I had made dua last night that may Allah (swt) send Imam bukhari (rah) to my dars..

Maulana sahab (db) seemed to be under ajeeb kaifiyat while narrating me about Hazrat khaleefa sahab (rah) Said that Hazrat Khaleefa Ghulam Rasool sahib (rah)’ s first shaikh was Hazrat Khwaja Ghulam Hassan Sawagh (rah) (khaleefa of Hazrat Khwaja Sirajuddin moosazai wale ) .




It seems he was a sahibe karamat buzurg with a very powerful tawajjuh.. he would activate the Lataif with mere gestures.. said that once he was summoned to the court and allegations made at him that he was forcefully converting hindus to Islam.. the judge asked him if it was true.. he asked the hindus one by one.. Did I make u a Muslim ..? using his tawajjuh while pointing towards them.. the hindu would fold hands and say hazrat please recite me the kalimah.. I want to become muslim.. he asked the same to 4 hindus and all converted to Islam.. then he turned towards the judge.. who promptly dismissed the case and aquitted him of all the charges..



It seems after the demise of Hazrat Khwaja Ghulam Hasan Sawagh sb (rah) hazrat khaleefa sahib (rah) was filled with the zeal to continue his islah and gain khusoosi ta’alluq of Haq ta’ala.. he was burning with the desire to find another murshid..




After continous istikhara for about a year he was told to get bayat with Hazrat Maulana Ahmed Ali Lahori sb (rah) ..




With no means of travel and reeling under rank poverty he set out to Lahore by foot.. it took him 10 days to reach Lahore.. his slippers were torn.. feet swollen.. and dripping with blood .. but he himself felt as if he was walking on air.. and Hazrat lahori (rah) was along with him doing zikr..




He reached Sheran wala.. while hazrat Lahori (rah) was at home.. when hazrat lahori sb (rah) walked towards the masjid he spotted the blood .. and said.. koee Allah ka Naam seekhne aaya hai..




It seems hazrat lahori sb (rah) gave two options at the khankah .. either stay there and bring your own food .. buy from the market but show me before eating.. or return to visit him every month.. hazrat khaleefa sb (rah) said Hazrat I would not be able to comply with any of these options since iam very poor and have no means of either travel or food..

Hazrat lahori (rah) told him not to worry .. that these options were for others and you are exempted.. you shall get a cot and food directly from my home..




Said that Allah (swt) had bestowed on him great power of kashf.. he could keep grains of rice on his hand and say which is halal and which one from haram income..

Said he was seated once with hazrat lahori (rah) and people came to him to get their asbaq.. without them saying anything hazrat would ask one to concentrate on sir.. other on rooh and so on.. so he asked him hazrat how do u do that.. said that when u buy watermelon do u not make out if its ripe or not merely by seeing its color.. the same is with me..




It seems he stayed there for about three months.. hazrat lahori (rah) would attend natures call after isha and hazrat khaleefa sahib (rah) would accompany him.. till they reached a spot hazrat lahori (rah) would dig his staff forcefully to the ground and go ahead to relieve..

Once at night hazrat lahori sb (rah) digged his staff to the ground and unknowing hit hazrat khaleefa sahib’s (rah) feet.. blood oozed out but hazrat khaleefa sahib (rah) remained silent.. when they reached khankah hazrat lahori (rah) inquired about the blood dripping from his feet.. he stil remained silent.. but on further insistence he told him so.. at this point Hazrat Maulana Ahmed Ali lahori sahib (rah) granted him khilafat..



Hazrat khalifa sahib loved Lahore .. he said once that “ mujhe Lahore ke insan .. galiyan aur kutte bhi achche lagte hain.. kyon ke mujhe Lahore me Allah mila.. “



It seems he had requested hazrat lahori (rah) before his demise that hazrat I still have few asbaq of naqshbandiya to cover.. he said that you are weak and wont be able to bear both the silsilas.. even then if u find any naqshbandi shaikh.. u can benefit from him..




After his demise he did bayat with the Naqshbandi Master.. Hazrat Maulana Shamsul Haq Afghani sb (rah) .. who also gave him khilafat..




He said that hazrat Maulana Shamsul haq Afghani sb (rah) had a very powerful tawajjuh.. while in quetta I was taking asbaq from him.. once at asr I presented myself .. he was sitting in the garden reading a newspaper.. he made me sit on a chair in front.. hazrat seemed busy reading the newspaper but had tawajjuh on my qalb.. hazrat khaleefa saheb (rah)said that my qalb became jaari and was about to get torn apart.. I put my hands on his knees and said hazrat enough.. I cannot bear any further.. hazrat smiled and asked him khaleefa sahib ‘ bas’…? Hazrat said ‘ bas’ .. I don’t have capacity for anymore..







Then Maulana sahib told me about the mashaikh of hazrat lahori sb (rah) about hazrat Maulana Taj Muhammed Amroti sb (rah) that he was a sahib e takween buzurg.. said that once an english officer approached him saying that his masjid was in the middle of a stream and needs to be demolished for the construction of a larger canal.. Hazrat Amroti (rah) ordered his khadim to get the sack of oniouns from inside.. he brought so.. hazrat opened the sack took out an oinion and sliced it into two halves with a knife.. he asked the khadim to empty the sack on the ground.. when he did that all the onions were found to be cut into two halves.. he told the Englishman that if Allah (swt) willed.. he would cut the heads of all the angrez in the same way.. the angrez quickly disappeared for his own good..




It seems till now the masjid stands exactly at the same place in the middle of that stream..




Said about hazrat Deen puri sb (rah) that once hazrat Maulana obaidullah sindhi saheb was taking Hazrat thanvi (rah) in a carriage on the pretext of meeting a buzurg.. when he approached deenpur.. hazrat thanvi (rah) said he could smell the fragrance of a wali Allah nearby.. when they arrived at deen pur and hazrat thanvi saw hazrat deen puri across the canal .. hazrat thanvi (rah) couldnt wait any longer and jumped off the carriage.. he ran towards hazrat deen puri sb (rah) and both embraced eacthother as if known since very long.. hazrat thanvi (rah) told maulana obaidullah sindhi saheb that hazrat deen puri (rah) holds the same maqam as my shaikh hazrat Haji Imdadullah saheb (rah)..




Said that Hazrat Maulana Ahmed Ali lahori saheb (rah) once arrived at Karachi.. hazrat maulana Yousuf Binnori saheb (rah) was at the madrassa when a mudarris approached asking to be excused from giving dars.. he gave the reason that a buzurg was arriving and he had to go see him.. hazrat binnori saheb agreed.. then another mudarris came with the same excuse.. hazrat agreed.. then another came with the same.. hazrat agreed.. then the cook of madrassa came in with the same excuse.. hazrat agreed.. then he got a message from Hazrat Maulana Mufti Muhammed Shafi Saheb (rah) that he was going to receive a big buzurg and he could join if he so wished..




Now Hazrat Binnori (rah) felt that he should meet this buzurg for sure.. so when he alighted from the train .. hazrat Binnori (rah) held Hazrat Lahori’s hand and said “ Babaji sach sach batao kaunsa Taskheer ka wazifa padhte ho.. jo Hazrat mufti muhammed Shafi jaisa aadmi tak chala aaya..”




Hazrat Lahori (rah) replied that I do not read any wazifa for taskheer.. but follow two rules.




One.. I do not eat anywhere when I go for the sake of deen.. .if they invite me for food on a cordial level then I do accept..




Second I always spend from my own pocket for the service of deen..




This had a profound effect on Hazrat binnori saheb (rah) he ordered his releative to sell off all his ancestral property and produce the amount before him..reluctantly the relative did so and Hazrat Binnori sb (rah) paid back the salary he had taken from the madrassa for 30 yrs..

Said that when Hazrat lahori sb (rah) can follow such a noble practice .. why cant he do it..




Khair.. it was 12 in the midnight.. Maulana sahab db had given me 2 and half hrs.. that’s a lot coming in from a silent and hidden buzurg.. may Allah (swt) give him best of both worlds for giving time to this unclean self..ameen




I requested leave and Maulana sb (db) said that Cabs were readily available below.. he gave a big embrace and we bid farewell..




Who could forsake the honor of walking on the noble streets of Madina Munawwara .. I saw the holy green dome from afar and walked in that direction.. ah.. even this filthy creature walks on this muqaddas land.. a few yards had crossed and I see the walls of Baqee.. I draw close to the walls and the huge open windows blow the cool breeze from Baqee.. I say salaam to ahl e Baqee..




Surely my mother Aisha (radh) would have replied to this lowly son.. so would have mother Fatima (radh) and Hazrat Hassan.. and zainul Abeedin Ali bin Husain.. Usman and saad bin ma’az .. radhi Allahu anhu ajmaen.. and yes my beloved hazrat Shaikh..hazrat Saharanpuri.. rahmatullahi alaihi ajmaen..




I wanted to stay in Madina for a few days more.. but my leave was done..

With a heavy heart I had to leave the blessed city..

MashAllah.... I do bait from Hazrat Dr.Abdus Salam during his 40 days tashkil in D.I.Khan. And i am feel so lucky. My friend Maulana Waqas Hashmi, who is a teacher in Maulana Tariq Jamil Db Madrassa also advise me to do bait from Dr. Abdus Salam. I have tremendous Munasibat with him.
