Following on from the (which one scholar you would liked to have met) thread, Who are the greatest scholars you have had the the chance of meeting?

For me erm a difficult one but the one who left the most impressuion on me was Hakeem Muhammed Akhtar (db).. Doing musaffa with him was an amazing experience in itself. Also remember meeting Mualan Abdul Qadir Azad (ra), he was the imam of badshahi mosque in lahore , he told us that 50,000 people has accepted islam at his hands over the last 60 years. There are many others... including Mulana ASad Madni (ra), Mulana Anzar Shah Kashmiree and Maualan Abrar (ra)

well I gues I have met two great scholars. The first one was maulana Muhammad Anas Noorani Siddiqi I went up to talk to him but I couldnt say anything so I just kissed his hand and stood there and he just kept saying masha allah and allahoe barik fiek.

The second one was sheikh Bashiri who is the tabligi amir of Morroco. I saw him four times actually three times in Holland and one time in al magreb. I tried to talk to him a bit, but he only speaks arabic and shilha berber and I speak only litle bit of arabic and a very litle bit of berber. One time I spoke to him with a ranslator and that went pretty well.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Bayyah was the greatest. I have yet to meet someone as knowledgable as him.
But I must say my meeting with Sheikh Faraz Rabbani was the most uplifting.
