About keeping the 6 fasts in Shawwal

Do you have to keep them in a row or can you space them out in the month of Shawwal ? - say 2 at the weekend, 2 during the week, and then 2 again at the weekend ?

JZK.

You can space them out across the month.
It's disliked anyway to single out fasting on Satudays and Fridays..

when i was in Yemen, you cant find a person that doesnt fast the 6 days. to the point where you dont even want to eat in your own house. the activities in the town stay according to the tarteeb set in Ramadhan. so they delay dhuhr by an hour but people still go to the masjid at the time of adhaan, after dhuhr the men stay seated in the masjid reading quraan until asr. Eisha salah is delayed one hour & the shops remain open until an hour before fajr. the only difference is that there isnt taraweeh, there is a special dhikr made after each salah that isnt made & the imaam doesnt say the niyyah for the fast out loud as in ramadhan.

they then have another day of eid (not realy eid) after this because they say that if you can stick to the tarteeb of ramadhan for these 6 days then its a sign that your ibadah has been accepted. therefore they even happier after the 6 days.

Some times you still have a few people to visit & wish for eid & they all want you to eat something.

yes indeed
many ppl do think/celebrate eid for "three days"
otherwise shar'an no prob in fasting the very next day after eid as there r only 5 days in a year on which fasting is prohibited

Yes. It is only one day.

It is impermissible to fast on the days of Eid and Ayyam ul Tashreeq
