Shaqeeq Bin Ibraheem (ra) says: "

In four things a person conforms with me by way of his tongue but opposes me by way of his deeds.

1.) He says that we are the servants (and slaves) of Allah subhanahu wa tala, Yet does the deeds of free people.

2.) He says that Allah subhanahu wa tala is responsible, for our sustenance, yet his heart is not at ease upon this responsibility until at such time that he is not in possession of any worldly material;

3). He says that the hereafter holds virtue over the world, yet he always worries about hoarding wealth for this world (he has no worry for the hereafter);

4.) He says that death is inevitable, it will definitely come, yet his deeds are like those who do not want to die."

The Prophet peace be upon him said:

“A person is on the path of his intimate friend,
so let each of you look carefully at whom he takes as an intimate friend.”

The pious caliph Umar ibn CAbd al-~Aziz, may Allah be pleased with him, said: “Night and day are ever working on you, thus work in them."

....This is the value of time.

"One thing should be understood: The acceptance of Allah and becoming beloved to Him are very different from being famous.
The acceptance of Allah and being beloved to Him manifests in the pious ones in that Allah puts His love in the hearts of His humble servants for them.
Slowly this love spreads and the person becomes beloved amongst the people.
Fame gained through the media or for the wrong reasons is in no way proof of acceptance by Allah. This should be clearly understood.

‎"The believer speaks little, but does much.
And the hypocrite talks a lot, but does little.
The believer's speech is wisdom,
his silence is contemplation,
his gaze is pondering,
his actions are righteous.
So if this is your state, you shall perpetually be in worship"

Seek (beneficial) knowledge,
because seeking it for the sake of Allaah is a worship.
And knowing it makes you more God-fearing;
and searching for it is jihad,
teaching it to those who do not know is charity,
reviewing and learning it more is like tasbeeh.
Through knowledge Allaah will be known and worshiped."

Imam Ahmad was told:
"Over looking people's faults is 9/10ths of good character"
He responded:
"Rather, it is 10/10ths"

Yes a very inspiring quote. The part 'reviewing.... is like tasbeeh.' It really made me think. I usually never re-read what i already read so I forget most of the things i read.
