A question from a Tassawuff-ignorant person?

Why is there so much joy and happiness in Hazrat (Maulana) Hakeem Akhtar (HA)’s and the Majalis of some of his Khulafa?

I don’t know how to describe it but the person feels really joyous and happy in the Majalis of this Silsila. They seem to enjoy their Dhik’r.

Islahi Majalis, Bayans, Dhik’r everything seems to be “by happy people for happy people.” and the Mureeds and Mashaykh all seem to be happy people.

I don't know how else to put it.

Not sure, but I know I do feel the happiness you're describing.

Maybe it's due the the amount of Fikr that the shuyook have for the awaam? Or the noor that descends due to Allah's Grace?

Ml Yunus Patel saheb once mentioned something to the effect that the real Majlis begins after everyone has left, when the shaykh stays awake all night crying for his mureeds.

People should attend the Majalis of different Mashaykh and you get different "flavours" and Shaykh (Maulana) Hakeem Akhtar Saheb (HA) and his Mashaykh and Mureeds are "happy" people and you get serious "Joy and Happiness" in their Majalis and I don't think that its about cracking jokes because a lot of Mashaykh do so.

Naqshbandi-Mujaddidi Majalis are usually very awe-inspiring, Majestic and very graceful and very prim-proper and organised even the “Non-Deobandi” ones are very graceful and Majestic.

I don't know any other Shaykhs or Mashaykhs apart from Shaykh (Maulana) Hakeem Akhtar Saheb (HA) where you experience the happy/joyous side of Dhikr'.

The unique feature that I find in Khanqah and the Silsila of Hazrat Wala Db, is the simplicity that Hazrat Wala Db has given to the path of Sulook.

Hazrat Wala Db usually says "Laugh as much as you want and stay happy, but when you see that your creator is unhappy then you should also be unhappy"....."Just follow Fardh, Wajib, Sunnat e Moakkida and Stay away from Sins.....and stay Happy"

We hear this all the time from Hazrat Wala Db. Can't think of any other place where Sulook is explained with such simplicity.

yesterday 24.01.11 in the last of Majlis Hazratwala db himslef make special dua i really happy for that dua and all the pupil in khanqah also
Hazrat wala db says "ALLAH TALAH hum sab ko Dard e dil ata farma day "
( Allah talah will give all of us Dard e dil (heart who is indulge in ALLAH'S love ))

i tell u my experience
when i came to Gulshun chowrangi, then as i m walking towards Khanqah or say Masjid e Ashraf my heart feels Noor , and when i enter the Mosque its strange noor i feel in my heart , actually from exterior it is mosque name MASJID ASHRAF
And when we enter there is an open small area, on left side is Khanqah IMDADIA ASHRAFIA ,Yadgaar Hakeem ul ummat . and in front is MASJID E ASHRAF, masjid floor is having carpet but on carpet there is White CHADAR on it , so all masjid is white ,MashaAllah ,and strange peace and satisfaction one feels in Masjid ashraf
now came to khanqah , on left side
when we go towards khanqah there is small kitchen on right side and the cook maker is also MASHAALLAH BASHARAA(according to shariat) then we enter the khanqah ,on right side again inside khanqah there is sqaure Glass door Room for Hazrat Ishrat Jameel MEER SAHAB db , who day and night , not watching his health, busy in answering Mails, writing Hazratwala db 's Books, answering the phone of islah, meeting the pupil for Islah , and on the same room Hazrat Meer sahab eat and sleep, the whole room of Hazrat meer sahb db is full of Books of all topics

after entering khanqah we will see Sofa in front where Hazratwala db sits when came for Majlis, and in the whole khanqah all the walls having glass cupboards having all Quran and hadeees and tafseer and Akabir Books , and in front of sofa , there is now HAZRATWALA DB 's Bed , where HAZRATWALA DB take rest , this bed have also white CHADAR and Pillow is also White ,

MASHAALLAH there are khadims live with Hazratwala db Mutahir Bhai, Kashif Bhai, Hafiz Mohammad Ahmad Bhai, Zia Bhai, Qamar uz Zaman bhai ,Barkatullah bhai,Shafiq Bhai . all share the khidmat for Hazratwala db , for Eating , praying etc , These khadims are Gems and doing Khidmat only for the sake of Allah and In Hazratwala db 's love , they will be Special Auliya ALLAH in future , And there is one Doctor Name DR. Amanullah who also stays in khanqah

Above khanqah there is Darul ifta and place for staying for people who came from foriegn countries for Islah e Nafs

Son of HAZRATWALA DB Hazrat Maulana Hakeem MAZHAR sahab db see all the matters of Ulama and Pupils who came for stay and one has to take Permission from Hazrat Meer sahab db to stay for ISLAH , due to security purpose

i think its 4 or 5 floor Masjid AND Khanqah , there is special arrangement for Eating for poor Students also ,
In short its Full of Noor and Noor , if some one came with IKHLAAS in Hazratwala db majlis he will get a lot of Sweatness of Imaan and courage to practice upon shariat

Masha-allah brother haqeer has described the khanqah in much detail.. The khanqah and masjid are simple.. however its the love of Allah that attracts the saalikeen from all over the world..

You are right that theres much joy in Hazrat Walaz majalis.. also they usually crack some minor jokes in between which make the majalis even more pleasureful.. this is especially reflected in the bayaanz of Hazrat Wala himself.. This is what was once indicated by Hazrat Feroz Memon (A very prominent Khalifah of Hazrat Wala) that "Hazrat Wala hansa hansa kar Allah Ta'ala ke muhabbat may phansa letay hae"..

However Hazrat Muhtarim Muadh Sahib (by the way why did you delete "muadh" from your name and replace it with "hardstone"? )i could not get this statement of yours:

Well I don't think there's anything particularly wrong with trying new flavours. You always return to the one you like most, but other flavours have their own qualities as well. It's like how Ml Yunus Patel saheb always mentions that different different majaalis all have their unique flavours. While you will obviously stick and take Islaah from the shaykh you have taken bay'ah with, there's nothing wrong in sitting in the majaalis of other ulama as long as you do not follow their awraad and dhikr etc, or unless your shaykh has made it clear to you not to.

Actually the Muatlliqiins of Hazratwala db and me also , always waiting for any words Live from Hazratwala db , as each and every word of Hazratwala db which comes out from Hazratwala db 's tongue is Like a Noor coming from the Mouth .
