Amazing, inspiring thread Masha'Allah.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't there a hadith where the Prophet said that one should not finish reciting the entire Quran in a period of less than 3 days?

EDIT: Found this:

and this

Allah gave me tawfiq to complete a khatm in one day. From Aug 11th, from after tarawih until right after Iftar on the same day. I sent isali thawab to all these sf members for directly/indirectly giving me targhib:

Maulana Taliban
Khalah UmHasan
Mufti Abu Hajirah
FususAlHikam
dr76
silat
alfatiha
XTREME
al_Zayn
DawudIsrail

May Allah give barakaat in every part of your and your family's lives, Ameen! Its only right, because Rasulullah said: من دل على خير فله مثل أجر فاعله

Isali thawab was also made for all the Muslims around the world who are oppressed, especially in Syria and Burma. And to all those who are making effort in all the branches of Deen.

MashaAllah brother, this is great!

Masha'Allah I pray that Allah swt accepts this khatam from you.

I attempted to also finish 1 Quran in 24 hours but was not able to. I learned that:

(1) Plan it properly.

(2) Don't recite too loud.

(3) Try to start from after iftar and do as much as you can overnight so that you can drink water when needed.

Insha'Allah I will retry for 1 khatam in 24 hours before Ramadhan is over.

I can't view Eteachers blog, I remember when he did that I was following his blogs on Xanga. I am wondering if he did that khatam during Ramadhan while fasting?

Well, we are waiting for your second one insha'Allah.
I had to distance myself from my fam for the whole day, along with some other responsibilities. That was kinda difficult.

If I get another chance, I'll shoot for a second inshaAllah.

How many juz do you go before break? I think take a break every 2 juz. Are you a hafiz of the Holy Quran?

I attempted to also finish 1 Quran in 24 hours but was not able to. I learned that:

(1) Plan it properly.
Yeah make sure you pace yourself and take proper rest, like half hour - 1 hour qailulahs in between your recitation. Helps you get rejuvenated.

(2) Don't recite too loud.
Whispering is a good way to preserve energy. There's less of a chance that your mouth will get parched when whispering, too.

(3) Try to start from after iftar and do as much as you can overnight so that you can drink water when needed.
Using miswak before reciting and changing your sitting posture during recitation works wonders.

Insha'Allah I will retry for 1 khatam in 24 hours before Ramadhan is over.
May Allah make it easy for you, Shaikh.
