jazakallah to all Finally a interesting twist - it had me in knots for many days. A Maulana, young one, was explaining the meaning of Wama Alayna illul blaagh. He said our responsibility is to communicate without balaghat. You get the point. In the original balaagh is used for communication but he used it twice - once for communication and for the second time for negation of rhetoric. So there. I can not thank him enough for taking a huge burden off my head. How often we forget the real task of communication and get entangled in mere ornamentation. I'll take it further. It makes me sick when people get impressed by mere rhetoric - laffaazi. "What a speech", they some times scream. I feel like screaming back, "No that was all hot air - there was no content in it." Ironically, some of those posting to point out grammar mistakes have made grammatical ewrrots too. =) Sorry Off Topic Wassalam |

I am not conversant with the Arabic text so I can not quote. I'll appreciate if you can find it and post it here. |

![]() ![]() I would suggest that you listen to Maulana Tariq Jameel's bayan at Ahsanul Uloom on 27/02/2012 where he mentions something to this effect. ![]() We may understand each and every detail of Deen, but do we have the ability and the quality to effectively communicate it to the masses. Surely, we don't need rhetoric and balaagah to communicate with the masses. We need to communicate it in their terminology and language. If we look deeply into this concept of Lisan ul Qawm, then it will be clear why the Asharis made use of the terminologies of Greek Philosophy. The reason is plain simple, it was the language or terminology of the target audience. There was no other option to communicate with them other than using their terminology. The Atharis and the pseudo-Salafis should look from this perspective. And we have to admit that the method adopted by the Asharis was the most effective to combat the Mu'tazili fitna. ![]() |

![]() وَمَا عَلَيۡنَآ إِلَّا ٱلۡبَلَـٰغُ ٱلۡمُبِينُ Surah Yasin, verse 17. "And our duty is only to convey clearly (the Message)." Perhaps what the Shaykh meant is that it is not Sunna to quote this verse after every bayan. I will ask him, Inshallah. ![]() |

Shaykh I beg to differ. We did not send any messenger but (speaking) in the language of his people, so that he might clearly convey the message to them. So, Allah lets go astray whom He wills and lets find guidance whom He wills. And He is the Mighty, the Wise. (Surah Ibrahim:4) |

Maulana, please don't worry about your english. English is only a tool and nothing more. What is amazing is that you are multi-lingual and that you are spreading the deen.
And every time your feelings are hurt by people's comments while you are doing the work of deen, remember that Allah will in'sha Allah raise your ranks in aakhirah. And the thought of leaving the forum is only waswasa from shaytan, who is always trying to keep everyone from spreading good. |

Assalamu alaikum No need to leave, like I said before, Alhumdullilah your English is fine, and please don't let such minor issues distract you much. I am sure you are doing this for the sake of Allah (swt), and if you are insulted in the process, I would say that you should expect such (look at it from the eye of a daee). So don't leave it, rather you should get more determined. ![]() |
