For those in UK who started Ramadhan on a Saturday, correct me if im wrong but they have to sight the moon here right? and if its not visible then they fast 30days and do Eid monday???????

moon was not seen in any where in india

not even in pakistan as eid is celebrated in kashmir according to ruet hilal pakistan...!

Eid on monday...alhamdulillah one more day of ramadhan and one more day of blessing and one more day for being accepted...!

Aren't Ahl-e-Hadeeth and Salafis basically one and the same thing?...

We have here ahlehadeeth, salafi, tawhid jamat and other gps of la madhabi. They differ slightly I think although they go along well with each other. As each have their own masjid and jamat, the imam of ahlehadeeth jamat has announced eid to be on monday while the salafis celebrate tomorrow. One gp already celebrated today. Allahu alam

inshallah i'll be at Masjid Umer (Walthamstow) today Magrhib to attempt sighting .... though im sure the positive hilal news of S.Africa is sufficient for all in UK too.

I see masha'Allah. I guess this is related to "uniting the Ummah on Qur'an and Sunnah after it had been divided by the four madhahib"!....

Assalamu alaikum. We have mewaat jamaat in our masjid. They told thier relatives have sighted moon in mewaat. So thier grand mufti sahab told tomorrow(sunday) is eid. Fully confused.
