Default Sharing is caring, lets share recipes!
I'm new to the Low Carb Site. I work out with an older Firm II video three times a week now. I've just read a book suggesting keeping my food below 80 carbs and its working. My wedding band slides back and fort now without soaping it. The swelling is going down in my body. I'm not diabetic but carbs seem to be a problem.. With this low carb plan I'm not suppose to worry about weight at first, just get used to living low carb, as it says. I have some recipes which I would enjoy sharing, I've always enjoyed international cooking, married 46 years.

I tried a red pkg of sausage flavored country gravy with my diced bacon and egg this morning. It had 40 cal. per 1/4 cup, and 5g of carbs. It was yummy! I had it with my "Potatoes" which were actually cauliflower. I use cauliflower for my stroganoff as well, instead of noodles. I'm keeping track for a while until I get use to the numbers. I also enjoy making custard with my eggs in four custard cups, its a great dessert or breakfast with some of Atkins syrup on top. I use almond milk. Oops, I can't remove the frame, continued.
I made some orange sugarless jello, the individual serving will have 1 Tbsp. coconut & 2 walnuts, for dessert today. Peppered pig skins are my potato chips, they are great with a tuna pate, with colorful veggies on the side.

I found a low carb pita bread that is delicious at the health food store. Hollandaise sauce with ham will taste great for breakfast or anytime on it. It a Low carb ,blue and yellow pkg. 1/2 piece is 8 carbs. The chromium, which I bought at the health food store has helped curb my appetite as well, and it increases metabolism. I take one a day.

I cut a butt roast into thirds. One is for pork tacos, one for carnita salad, (shredded pork) with avocado and sour cream, and one for snitzel with brown gravy, cauliflower and veggies.

Ask for a "carne cut" if you like snitzel cut up for a whole loin roast, about one quarter inch thick. I put two in a plastic bag and beat them on a cement block on my porch, with a brown bag underneath. Snitzel is fried very thin and fast. Our German restaurant has a sweeter sauerkraut, which I had never tried before. I'll ask for more sauerkraut and no potatoes next time we go there. Love to share! How about some shrimp scampi, bacon bits with butter and olive oil over something. Any ideas?
