Hi there, I am new to this forum and to the HCG Diet. I ordered a 23 round from Nu Image medical and received a 5000 iu vial of hcg with a 5ml bottle of Cyanocobalamin (b-12). Instuctions say to inject 20ml daily. I am 150 lbs and am on VLCD 3 (5 days of injections subq) and very hungry! Also, been feeling some numbness in my arms and legs. My question is...is the dose too high? Should I adjust? Just don't find much info on mixing without water. Thanks!

Hello!
Its always best to ask the medical experts on your medication, so I am glad we found this post. Your HCG is mixed with a 1:1 ratio, therefor your daily dose of .20ml (20 mark on the insulin syringe) equals 200iu per day. The maximum dosage recommended by Dr. Simeons and his protocol. Don't get confused with people asking about your static water solution, as we supply B12 free to all our patients to use instead. Its gives that extra every BOOST throughout the day, and no extra cost to you! For further questions and medical support, please visit us 7 days per week @ www.nuimagemedical.com and submit a ticket!! Have fun getting skinny!! NI Team |

Just lowering the dose will take a few days for the hunger to be gone. That's why I always recommend skipping a day. Anything you lose while hungry is easily regained. 200 iu is much too high for most people. Most clinics really don't understand the dosing very well. They tend to think more is better but too much causes hunger.

Hello.
Unfortunately, too many non-professionals try to give advice on these forums. Ketosis is a natural appetite suppressant. It can only be obtained by following a VLCD like the HCG diet program. Following a 500-600 calories diet will obtain Ketosis. From Livestrong.com: In addition, ketosis suppresses the appetite-suppressant effect, according to a study published in the January 2008 issue of "The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition." Being less hungry can help you better stick to your diet so you can lose weight without starving. Read more: http://www.livestrong.com/article/46...#ixzz204xE9qGy The HCG is there solely for muscle sparing, fat burning purposes. As a protection, it allows your body to utilize stored fats for energy instead of lean muscle. It also increases skin elasticity so that your not left with sagging skin after losing 20-40 lbs so rapidly. If this Moderators answer was so correct, why do most centers advise patients to increase their dosage when hungry?? Unfortunately, honestly, that is a complete placebo effect also. Most people are hungry because they eat below the 500 calories.. YES, most do. If you actually count the calories for both meals with your fruit and veggies, it often comes between 300-400 calories. This is far below the minimum required, and therefor, you body starts utilizing your muslce for energy, causing fatigue, lethargy, and HUNGER. It also starts to deteriorate your metabolism trying to store as much as possible. Another reason most feel hungry, is because they do not obey the "NO EXERCISE" rule. Working out and exercising on 500 calories is an absolute NO NO.. Your body just can't keep up!!! What happens when your body works too hard with so little calories???? It starts using your lean muscle again, which has much more nutrient value than your fat does! It is more important to PROPERLY count your daily calories than to simply weigh your food. That is the #1 biggest mistake, and we have done over 20,000 patients in 8 years already! PS. We do appreciate all the efforts of each individuals suggestions, and are so happy for their amazing results and stories, but please do not suggest medical advice. Many of us never hit ketosis on the hcg diet. I don't. And I have been on this forum for nearly four years. You don't know the protocol very well, quite honestly. And we get that a lot just so you know. Clinics are in it for the money and don't' really care about the success of the individual. Those of us who are moderators on here on unpaid and are helping out because we DO care. We want them to be successful. And I'm deleting your link.

I was on 200iu, per one of these Internet Docs/HCG dealers my first round. I was so hungry & lethargic!!!
I lowered my dosage down to 150iu, against my "HCG dealer's" advice, & it has worked like a charm! The difference between night & day! I have lost weight on this protocol, & certainly don't claim to be an expert. But every sliver of advice I have ever gotten from Grammy has been spot ON, & I appreciate it so much! I avoid advice from anyone with a condescending attitude toward others. |

Please show me the medical journal where HCG is an appetite suppressant, and NOT the HCG Diet Program.
We are talking bout the actual drug itself, stating that if you were to take you recommended dosage of HCG and just eat normal, you would have no appetite at all??? Forget the VLCD! If I were to take your recommended dosage of just HCG, i would not be hungry all day?? IS that current? |
