I am on day 4 of VLCD and the food boredom is getting to me. I've read about HCG recipes and things, but on my sheet there are very strict rules to "not mix vegetables" so how is it that I could have a salad? Am I missing something? I have 2.5 weeks to go and variety would be great, but I'm fine eating what I've been eating (however boring it is).
Im just wondering - how can there be "recipes" on such a strict diet of portion and calorie counting? |

Some of the plans are different. There are alot of doctors/plans that have a broader menu to begin with, HOWEVER, I have noticed, that I can mix tomatoes with lettuce or spinach, and it doesnt hurt my weight loss at all. Alot of the recipes that you will find however, are just different ways to prepare the ingredients using differnet cooking methods or spices.

They were certainly a breath of fresh air for me when I found them during my first round. Good luck on your journey! Sherli |

One of my favorite meals was a salad I would make- I took the chicken and seasoned it, cut it up into small pieces, and would mix it in with my lettuce (mind you NOT iceburg lettuce) and then I cut up my strawberries into quarters and added them to the salad- crushed up garlic season melba toast (acted like croutons) and used a SPLASH (seriously just a small splash) of balsamic vinegar- best hcg friendly salad ever! |
